Angelito Gómez Mateo

From a very young age, Ángel Gómez Mateo sings on occasion with his uncles at the orchestra "Los Mateo". His appearance in a Christmas Festival in Salamanca generates great sensation and he begins to study piano with the prestigious teacher Esperanza Rasueros who put him in contact with a film production company. He appears in Angelito (1961), Pachín almirante (1961) and Juicio contra un ángel (1964), this last one filmed in Puerto Rico. He makes some records, with RCA in Madrid and Seeco Records in New York, and offers some concerts in America achieving great success, especially in New York, even performing on the famous Ed Sullivan Show, accompanied at the piano by Juan Bruno Tarraza. With the change of voice he quit singing and studied Fine Arts at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid. Nowadays he is a prestigious painter.
