    • Firmin Gémier was born on February 21, 1869 in Aubervilliers, Seine [now Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France], France. He was an actor and director, known for Le simoun (1933), Le père Milon (1909) and La fusée (1933). He was married to Andrée Mégard. He died on November 26, 1933 in Paris, France.

  • An ardent admirer of Shakespeare, at the time of his death Gémier was in the process of adapting "The Merchant of Venice" for cinema.
