  • Older brother of actor Robert Blake and Joan Blake.
  • After receiving a B.A. in English from the University of California at Berkeley, he moved back to the East Coast and became an editor with Schnell Publishing Company in Manhattan, where he retired in 1988 after 32 years. His 1995 obituary gave no cause of death and made no mention of his surviving brother, actor Robert Blake, from whom he was long estranged.
