Deborah Greenfield's performing career in the US and Europe, includes work with dance companies, dance-theatre productions, TV, features and short films. In Los Angeles since 1996 she has danced and acted in several films and plays, and choreographed features, commercials, music videos and theatre projects for companies such as the Mark Taper Forum and the Odyssey Theatre. Feature film work includes the Camera Obscura, starring Spanish actress Ariadna Gil, Skeleton Woman with Daphne Rubin Vega. Previous to this, during a six-year period in Madrid Spain, Deborah performed for leading Spanish choreographers, studied flamenco dance and ran her own modern dance company, FUGA. The company was founded after her piece Fuego Quieto (Still Fire) won 1st Prize at the V Madrid International Choreography Competition. She also choreographed the musical, La Bella Helena starring Ana Belén for the International Theatre Festival of Mérida.

Recognized as an innovative flamenco dance artist, Deborah continues her investigation of the fusing of modern dance with flamenco. Since arriving in LA she has produced full-length concerts and presented work with her company, Rosa Negra Flamenco at various Los Angeles venues, including the Hollywood Bowl's Summersounds Season, and the Alex, Barnsdall and Mayan Theatres. She has also appeared as guest artist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, was flamenco consultant and dancer for J Lo's Ain't it Funny video and performed with the rock group, Jane's Addiction at the Coachella Arts and Music Festival. Parallel to her stage work, she has also been building a body of dance film shorts. Her films have been included in festivals such, Dance on Camera, (NYC), Madrid en Danza, Women in Film Festival (Spain), the Frame Festival in Lisbon, Caught Between in LA, the Body Festival in New Zealand and the International Video Dance Festival of Buenos Aires, 2005

In 2003-04 Deborah received a C.O.L.A. award from the City of Los Angeles' Cultural Affairs Department and presently she is developing her next multimedia project with a Dance Creation to Performance Award from Dance USA and the Irvine Foundation.
