‘The Talent Test’ Reality Format In The Works At Fox
Image
Fox is searching for people to surprise audiences with hidden talents in its latest non-scripted project.

The network is developing The Talent Test, which will “take a select group of people through a life-changing test to reveal their hidden potential”.

Deadline understands that the show is in very early development and the network is working on a proof of concept for the show. It is currently casting.

The show is based on the premise that most people have untapped potential and a hidden talent waiting to be discovered, whether it’s singing, dancing or playing an instrument.

There will then be an “expert” team to help them learn, develop and showcase their newly discovered skill.

The Talent Test comes from British production company 110% Content, which is backed by Elisabeth Murdoch. The company was set up by former ITV entertainment chief Siobhan Greene, who co-created Popstars: The Rivals and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway...

ITV Revives And Extends ‘Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey’ After Ant McPartlin’s Drunken-Driving Fine
ITV is returning to a genealogy documentary with two of its biggest stars, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, after it was parked last year because McPartlin pled guilty to drunken driving.

Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey, produced by Voltage TV and Ant and Dec’s indie Mitre Television, originally was commissioned in 2017 as a 90-minute special.

But ITV put the film on hold as McPartlin grappled with personal issues including a drunken-driving charge, for which he eventually was fined £86,000 in April 2018.

But after McPartlin returned to British TV screens in 2019, ITV now is dusting off Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey. It will air before the end of the year – and this time it will be a two-part special.

Over the course of the documentary, the Britain’s Got Talent hosts will trace their bloodlines using their DNA to search their ancestral history. They will travel from Ireland to the U.

Mask Singer (États-Unis) (2019)
‘The Masked Singer’ Gets British Makeover on ITV
Mask Singer (États-Unis) (2019)
“The Masked Singer” is coming to Britain. ITV, the U.K.’s biggest commercial broadcaster, has ordered up a local version of the wacky competition show, which originated in South Korea and has been a ratings hit for Fox in the U.S.

The format involves celebrities concealing their identities behind bizarre costumes and trying to advance in a singing contest that’s not necessarily about vocal talent. A star panel tries to figure out who the celebrities, while viewers eliminate the contestants one by one. Eight episodes of the show will air on ITV next year.

The British version will be produced by Scottish indie Bandicoot, which is owned by the Argonon Group. It will be executive-produced by Derek McLean, Daniel Nettleton and Claire Horton.

“Not very often, a show comes along that seems to abandon all the rules…and this is it,” said Siobhan Greene, ITV’s head of entertainment commissioning.

Commissioned by Kevin Lygo, ITV’s Director of Television and Siobhan Greene, ITV’s Head of Entertainment Commissioning, the show is exec produced by Derek McLean, Daniel Nettleton and Claire Horton.
