Benton Greene

Benton Greene is a New York based actor who started his career in the Bay Area, studying at American Conservatory Theater and working on stage with artists that would shape his worldview of using art to connect individuals and communities. This first generation American was also heavily influenced by his Jamaican and Barbadian parents who exposed him to travel at a young age in order to show him more of his world. Benton has performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway and the top regional theaters in the United States as an actor and has used his passion for using art as a catalyst for change to write arts curriculum for Lincoln Center Theater, The Metropolitan Opera and The Apollo Theater Foundation for much of his career. A dedicated Kung-Fu artist and mindfulness practitioner, Benton teaches Wing Chun under Sifu Frank Matos in New York and has done formal meditation training at Deer park Monastery in California in the lineage of Thich Nhat Hanh.
