Lining up a shot on The Chi
Grant, a Seattle native, was inspired by his mother's passion for indie filmmaking, which laid the foundation for his cinematic journey. After graduating film school, he quickly made a name for himself in the industry, directing over 120 award-winning music videos and commercials for major brands like Budweiser, McDonald's, Victoria's Secret, and collaborations with artists such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Missy Elliott to name a few. Over the years, Grant has garnered numerous accolades, including MTV, NAACP and Billboard Music Video Awards, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the world of music and advertising.

Transitioning to feature films and episodic television, Grant directed acclaimed series like Billions, Your Honor, Equalizer, Queen Of The South, Big Sky, Suits and others. His debut feature film, Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, was a commercial success, grossing over $75 million on a modest $4 million budget. He followed this with Make It Happen, a dance film set in the world of modern burlesque.

Looking ahead, Grant is set to premiere a new series with J.J. Abrams on HBO in Spring 2025, titled Duster, this action crime thriller is set in the early '70s, he directed four of its eight episodes. He also collaborated with Robert and Michele King on the series Happy Face scheduled to air in 2025.
