    • Harold 'Red' Grange was born on June 13, 1903 in Forksville, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Son fils avait raison (1926), The Galloping Ghost (1931) and A Racing Romeo (1927). He was married to Margaret Hazelberg. He died on January 28, 1991 in Lake Wales, Florida, USA.

  • Was the biggest drawing card in the early days of the NFL.
  • Charter member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, inducted in 1963.
  • Played halfback/defensive back/tailback/blocking back for the National Football League's Chicago Bears (1925, 1929-1934) and New York Yankees (1927).
  • Scored four touchdowns in 12 minutes against Michigan in 1924 in the dedication game of the University of Illinois' Memorial Stadium.
  • Signed a pro football contract with the Bears in 1925 immediately after his last collegiate game and formed a partnership with promoter C. C. Pyle. Played a series of exhibition games with the Bears that winter.
