  • Was one of the final choices for the role of "Captain Sisko" on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) and the role of "Captain Janeway" on Star Trek: Voyager (1995).
  • Was a full-fledged paramedic when he played Detective Matthew Sikes in "Alien Nation".
  • Along with Jeffrey Combs and Matt Winston, he is one of only three actors (besides the regulars) to appear in all four seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise (2001).
  • Initially attended the University of California as a pre-med major, but soon switched his major to acting because he was having trouble maintaining a 4.0 grade point average.
  • Was one of two male actors considered for the role of the captain in Star Trek: Voyager (1995). He would later appear in two episodes of Star Trek: Renegades (2015) & 12 episodes as Soval in Star Trek: Enterprise (2001).
  • Gary's band is now known as The Sons of Kirk (formerly The Gary Graham Garage Band and The Gary Graham Band).
