Was known to be a gifted singer.

Lived in Vendôme in the Loir-et-Cher.

She worked for the city of Vendôme and organized cultural events there alongside Annie Chaplin, one of Charlie Chaplin 's daughters, who lived nearby in Villechauve .

The general public became familiar with the face of Geneviève Grad through the role of the daughter of Chief Warrant Officer Cruchot, played by Louis de Funès in the successful series of "Gendarmes" films. In the first part, Geneviève Grad herself sings "Douliou douliou Saint-Tropez", a pop song that has gone down in history and is often misspelled as "Do you do you Saint-Tropez".

From 1964 to 1968, she made her name in France playing Nicole Cruchot, the daughter of Chief Warrant Officer Ludovic Cruchot (Louis de Funès ), in the first three films of the Gendarmes series : The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez , The Gendarme in New York and The Gendarme Gets Married . She lent her voice to some songs such as Douliou-douliou Saint-Tropez or Les garçons sont gentils. After this last filming, she decided to take a step back from this profession, nervously tired.
