Michael R. Gotto

IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Michael was born and raised in Southern California. He studied martial arts with both of his brothers at a very young age.

Michael and his brothers were originally asked to audition for the role of "Young Adam Park." At the audition, the casting director changed the role to "Young Tommy Oliver" because of Michael's resemblance to Jason David Frank. After the initial audition and a callback audition with the producers, Michael was awarded the role and played "Young Tommy" for two episodes of "Rangers in Reverse" in Season 2 of the "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" and a ten-episode "Alien Rangers" miniseries that rounded out "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers." During one of his episodes, Michael found the "Zeo" crystal that ultimately transformed "Tommy" into the "Red Zeo Power Ranger" for "Power Rangers Zeo. Michael also played the role of "Drew McCormick," the "Blue Beetleborg" in the pilot episode for the Fox Kids television series, "Big Bad Beetleborgs."

After his television debut, Michael went on to high school where he acted on stage in several plays. During his senior year, his brother and some of their friends started a band called "Sanctified," a Christian a cappella group. In November 2003, Sanctified won 1st place in the Disney/McDonald's Gospelfest competition. They also performed the "National Anthem" before a Los Angeles King's hockey game that same year. Over the next few years, Sanctified added musicians to the group and developed a fan following, performing several live shows in the heart of Los Angeles and Hollywood.

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree, Michael continued his education earning a Master's degree and teaching credential. He became a high school teacher and then a high school assistant principal and middle school principal. In 2014, Michael earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from USC.

Now, he serves an assistant superintendent in his school district. Michael enjoys spending time with his wife of 15 years and their four children, as well as meeting fans at pop culture conventions and signings.
