Another graduate of the State University of New York at Purchase (SUNY Purchase) whose alumni include Bob's girlfriend Parker Posey, Wesley Snipes, Sherry Stringfield, Melissa Leo, Stanley Tucci, directors Hal Hartley and Nick Gomez, as well as producers Tom Donahue and Todd Baker. In 1991, Bob and his friend, Larry Meistrich, took $7,000 and founded the "Shooting Gallery" which has made a name for itself by producing no- and low-budget pics for edgy, young directors such as Billy Bob Thornton. The "Shooting Gallery" produced Thornton's Sling Blade (1996) which received a nod from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
