- Brian Glover was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire and used to be a professional wrestler going by the name of "Leon Arras the Man From Paris". He also provides one of the voices for the animated "Tetley Tea" TV adverts. - Brian followed his father into wrestling and fought under the name of Leon Arras. He was also a school teacher with Barry Hines, the author of Kes, and got Barry to introduce him to film director Ken Loach resulting in him being cast as the games teacher in Kes. - Started his wrestling career as Erik Tanberg, the blond from Sweden, until he took up the name of an absentee wrestler and became Leon Arras, the man from Paris. He was the son of a wrestler, Charlie Glover, whose own ring name was the Red Devil.
