Gerda Gmelin

Nearly blinded as a result of an eye disease.
Is buried in the "Garten der Frauen" (garden of women) cemetery in Hamburg.
About her private life is only known that she was a single mother of two sons.
Daughter of actor Helmut Gmelin, mother of Matthias and Christian Masuth.
From 1959 to 1999, she was director of the "Theater im Zimmer" in Hamburg, which her father had founded.
