- Donald Reed was born on July 23, 1901 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. He was an actor, known for Santa (1932), Mark of the Frog (1928) and Special Agent K-7 (1936). He died on February 28, 1973 in Westwood, California, USA.
- Mexican actor who, though having anglicised his name, began in 1920's Hollywood as a stereotypical Latin lover. Reduced to supporting roles in 1930's second features.
- Donald Reed was originally scheduled to play the role of Lorenzo in the 1933 Hal Roach Studios production of "The Devil's Brother" (also known as "Fra Diavolo"). He was replaced by Arthur Pierson.
