Michalis Giannatos was a Greek actor with a prolific career in film, television, and theater. He studied acting at the drama school of Dinos Dimopoulos and made his film debut in Oi stigmatismenoi (1966). He gained recognition through collaborations with Theodoros Angelopoulos, beginning with Alexandre le Grand (1980), and appeared in numerous Greek and international productions.
His fluency in multiple languages allowed him to take on roles in major films such as Midnight Express (1978), Capitaine Corelli (2001), and Munich (2005). He also starred in Un ciel épicé (2003) and the European co-production Le dernier seigneur des Balkans (2005). In addition to his screen work, he remained active in theater throughout his career.
