    • Rafiq Ghaznavi was born in 1907 in Rawalpindi, Punjab, British India. He was a composer and actor, known for Wah Rahe Zamane (1958), Zeenat (1945) and Laila Majnu (1945). He was married to Anwari. He died on March 2, 1974 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

  • Grandfather of Salma Agha, the Pakistani film actress,playback singer and television performer.
  • Married film actress Zehra and had a daughter, Shahina, with her. Shahina grew up and made her mark as an actress in Pakistani movies like Beli (1950), "Nigar", Ankh Ka Nasha (1957), "Bharosa" (1958), and_ Intaqaam (1933)_. He also had a son, Murad, with his first wife, Zehra.
  • After partition, he migrated to Lahore. Later, he moved to Karachi. In Pakistan, he composed music for director Ashfaq Malik's film Parwaaz (1954) and director Aziz Ahmed's film Mandi (1956). Next, he joined Radio Pakistan and dedicated himself whole-heartedly to the cause of Radio Programs as a music director.
  • First marriage was to actress Anwari Begum.
