Paul Germann is an award-winning Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer. With over 30 years experience, Paul has brought his creativity and work ethic to acclaimed scripted and documentary projects in almost every genre, collaborating with some of the medium's most successful producers and directors, including David Cronenberg, Guillermo Del Toro, John Woo, Panos Cosmatos, Jennifer Kent, and Sarah Polley. In 2023 he was nominated for an Emmy for Del Toro's "Cabinet Of Curiosities", the Netflix horror series. Other recent work includes sound design for A24's wrestling feature "The Iron Claw", Lin Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis' musical adaptation of Walter Hill's "The Warriors", Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein", and Fox's hit series "Accused" (from show-runner Howard Gordon - Homeland, 24). Paul won back-to-back Canadian Screen Awards in 2022 and 2023 for Best Sound Editing for the features "Scarborough" and "Brother", both Canadian Screen Award Best Picture winners themselves. He's also a two-time MPSE Golden Reel nominee for the TV series "Foundation" and "Saving Hope". Paul's love of music has informed his work on documentaries including "ZZ Top: The L'il Ol' Band From Texas", "Iron Maiden: Flight 666", docu-series "Hip Hop Evolution", and music videos by recording artist Drake.
