Biography

    • Michael Genevie is a talented American actor, director and playwright. His impressive resume includes roles in over 75 films including My Cousin Vinny, Mr. Destiny, Major League, Are You Here and That Darn Cat. He has also appeared in numerous TV shows, such as Matlock, American Gothic, I'll Fly Away, In the Heat of the Night, Dawson's Creek, The Locket, The Almost Perfect Bank Robbery, A Kiss So Deadly, Death in Small Doses, Stay the Night, One of Her Own, Midnight Murders and The Killing Secret and as an actor has worked with Rod Steiger, Martin Sheen, Brooke Shields, Donald Sutherland, Lori Loughlin, Larry Hagman, Sam Waterston, Harry Anderson, Carroll O'Conner, Barbara Hershey, Andy Griffith and many others. In addition to his acting career, Michael is a skilled playwright and has written and performed in many stage productions and one-man shows, including his current productions, "An Evening with Mark Twain," and "Magic and Mentalism: The Golden Age." He has also been recognized for his work as a Magic Consultant on television series, film and theatre productions. He has received numerous awards and recognition over the years and has been inducted into the SC Theatre Hall of Fame as the Director Emeritus of the historic Abbeville Opera House, the official state theatre of South Carolina - twice receiving the South Carolina Governors Travel Award for Tourism.
