Rudy Gaskins
Emmy-winning producer Rudy Gaskins is CEO and Executive Creative Director of Push Creative, Inc., a branding services company providing strategic marketing, design and production for broadcast and cable networks. Clients include FOX News Channel, BET, American Express, Spike TV, ABC Television, Sentient Publications, WABC New York, MSNBC, and NBC Sports. A film director and former producer of programming for PBS, Gaskins has expanded Push Creative's production scope to include a rigorous development effort focused on reality TV, news talk, game shows and documentaries.

Gaskins began his professional career after graduating from NYU's Film and Television program. He wrote, directed and produced several award-winning short films before signing on as an apprentice film editor on Francis Coppola's The Cotton Club. From there he went on to work with some of the most influential filmmakers of our time, including Jonathan Demme, Brian DePalma, Milos Forman, Spike Lee, and Alan Pakula. With a passion and notable talent for directing, Gaskins joined PBS as producer/director/writer. From the scientific to social issues his work with PBS took him around the world as he produced nearly 12 hours of documentary programming.

The PBS journalistic tradition was an ideal training ground and a perfect complement to Gaskins' next challenge as writer/producer with ABC News advertising and promotion. Here he oversaw the writing and production of advertising messages for World News Tonight featuring the legendary Peter Jennings, 20/20 with Barbara Walters and Primetime Live with Diane Sawyer. Gaskins also produced and directed behind-the-scenes news packages for ABC affiliates.

His keen understanding of branding and program content continued to flourish when he was tapped by Court TV to develop the on-air branding strategy for programming and network identity. As vice president of Court TV's creative services department Gaskins managed the successful re-launch of Court TV from a news network to an entertainment venue -- overseeing an award-winning re-branding campaign. Gaskins would go on to produce similar results as an executive producer for Food Network before launching his own production and branding company, Push Creative. Among many awards won since, his first Emmy Award was for Push Creative's work on the 2000 Olympic Games.
