Indie fan favorites The Barn and The Barn Part II, both of which are now streaming on Screambox, celebrated Halloween in throwback style, and the success of those films has paved the way for The Barn Part III. Director Justin Seaman is now raising finishing funds for the project over on Indiegogo, and Bloody Disgusting has the exclusive poster reveal.
Additionally, we’ve learned that horror icons Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), William Ragsdale (Fright Night) and John Kassir (“Tales from the Crypt”) have joined The Barn Part III.
The Barn Part III is set to be the final chapter of the Halloween horror franchise, and Seaman says it’s going to be “a little bit more serious” than the previous two installments. He teases, “Of course we’re going to have monsters killing and splattering guts everywhere, but the stakes are a little higher. We’re going to wrap this...

We all secretly believe that we would never join a cult. We may be fascinated by the inner mechanics of these insidious groups and go down endless rabbit holes exploring their destructive behavior. But deep down, we’re all convinced that we would be able to sniff out communal manipulation and see a cult leader coming a mile away. Of course, every person who’s ever found themselves in such a group has likely had the same internal belief. We like to see ourselves as mentally superior and aware when we’re being conned by the people around us. But successful cult leaders are experts at finding covert ways to infiltrate our minds and convince us to override our better judgment.

The death of Adrian Monk’s (Tony Shalhoub) beloved wife, Trudy, was a major anchor point of the 2002 crime dramedy Monk. With the 2023 movie release and Netflix adding the original show back to their platform 15 years after Monk ended, viewers may be struggling to recall what happened to Trudy. In December of 1997, well before the events of the first episode, Trudy Monk (Melora Hardin) was tragically murdered in a parking garage when a bomb was planted in her car. The perpetrators were a mystery, and one that even the brilliant former detective Adrian Monk struggled to solve.
Throughout the show, Monk’s primary motivation was to find his wife’s killer, and he gradually unveiled several compelling pieces of evidence to help him do so, many of which were revealed to him by corrupt wealthy financier, Dale J. “the Whale” Biederbeck III (Tim Curry). After eight seasons, it seemed Adrian...

Courtney Gaines' audacious audition for Children of the Corn involved pulling a knife on his partner, showcasing his commitment to the role. Despite "He Who Walks Behind The Rows" being the main villain, Courtney Gains' portrayal of Malachi makes him a standout as the film's scariest antagonist. Malachi's defiance of Isaac and his ruthless pursuit of power ultimately lead to a revolt against the cult, solidifying him as a significant character in Children of the Corn.
One Children of the Corn actor pulled a dangerous stunt during his audition for the film and still managed to land a significant role. About one third of the 150+ acting credits accumulated over the course of Robert Englund’s 50-year career fall under the horror genre. Screambox is streaming five of them, along with the all-new documentary, Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story.

Galaxy of Terror
Before moving to Elm Street, Englund went to space for 1981’s Galaxy of Terror, the first of two back-to-back Alien knock-offs produced by Roger Corman. The film follows a ragtag spaceship crew on a rescue mission to a barren planet, where they encounter a deadly creature. In a slight twist on Ridley Scott’s sci-fi/horror classic, Galaxy of Terror uses its victims’ own fears against them — which, incidentally, is similar to Freddy’s modus operandi.

Speaking with Comicbook.com, Wilson teased a trilogy for her wonderfully warped young hero, playing it coy when asked if there were any plans for further adventures.
"I don't know how much I can say about this but, like, keep your hopes up. There could be something on the way."
While Wilson carefully hints at a Becky threequel, a further conversation with her co-star Kate Siegel pretty much confirms that Becky 3 is now happening.
"I'm not great at keeping in touch with anyone, but we had dinner the other night and it was amazing. Like Kate is, we're very similar people and she's such a talented actress. It was really exciting to work with her. Hoping that she'll make an appearance in the third. But she's fantastic.

Two years after taking down a group of neo-Nazis, Lulu Wilson is back in the saddle for The Wrath of Becky. The sequel will see the eponymous young girl tap into her violent skills to take down a fascist group known as the "Noble Men" planning an insurrection at a nearby political event when a few of their members kill a friend and kidnap her dog.
Lulu Wilson returns to lead the cast of The Wrath of Becky alongside Seann William Scott, Denise Burse, Jill Larson, Courtney Gains, Michael Sirow, Aaron Dalla Villa, Matt Angel, and Kate Siegel. Between fourth-wall-breaking monologues, comic book-style opening credits, and bloody set pieces, the film is a sequel building on what made the original successful and going even further.

Plot: Becky decimated a quartet of neo-Nazis when she was just 13 years old. Now a couple years have passed, and she finds herself up against a new group of enemies.
Review: The pandemic shut the world down in March of 2020. But a few months later, directors Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion gifted a nation of shut-ins with a special treat: the thriller Becky, which has been described as an “ultra violent Home Alone”. Playing in drive-ins across America before heading to VOD, Becky earned $1 million at the domestic box office during that troubled time. In the long run, it made enough money and caught enough attention to get a sequel greenlit… and now we have The Wrath of Becky. A sequel that comes from an entirely new creative team, who decided to make a tonal shift that might not sit well with some fans of the original.

You just don’t mess with someone’s dog. If John Wick has taught us anything, it’s that. The first movie must have slipped completely under my radar, as I had no idea that Wrath of Becky was a sequel to anything. I should probably make an effort to check out that first film because Wrath of Becky looks like an absolute blast. You really can’t go wrong with blood-soaked revenge. Here’s the official synopsis: “Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman – a kindred spirit named Elena.

The Wrath of Becky had its successful premiere at the South By Southwest film festival this month, delighting audiences with the gore and sass of its tiny killing machine. Lulu Wilson reprised her role as the titular Becky, but the team that helped her bring the sequel to life was full of new faces. Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote were brought on board to direct, with Angel writing the screenplay after working the story out with Cootes.
Despite the change of hands, The Wrath of Becky maintains the spirit of the original and doesn't miss a beat. That is thanks to Wilson's captivating presence, but also courtesy of the strong teamwork present between actor and directors. Their rapport is evident offscreen, and it translates to a very enjoyable thrill ride onscreen. Where 2020's "Becky" is an underage child's fight for survival based on primal instincts, Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote's sequel "The Wrath of Becky" plays more like a comic book panel massacre. That's not a bad thing if you're into watching a Girl Scout assassin brutalize Proud Boys lookalikes with a smile on her face. Violence emphasizes excessive gore, real bad dudes get what's coming, and the action hero mold is flipped on its head with Becky front and center. Angel and Coote brighten the mood versus "Becky" and embrace the B-movie nature of Becky's somewhat unstoppable spree. Still, this time, there's less suspenseful impact by trading feral ferocity for this almost superhero nature that leans into Becky's franchise potential.

Some of them introduce new, terrifying lore to the canon of suburban horror movies, some will worm around in your brain like thoughts you can’t shake, but all of them will make you...
