Lance Fuller(1928-2001)

In Los Angeles in October 1968, he was confronted by a police officer while in the process of hitting parked cars with a 3 foot long iron pipe. He then attacked the officer, loudly proclaiming that he was both Jesus Christ AND God. The officer, who suffered a broken right hand, shot Fuller in the chest. Fuller underwent surgery at Los Angeles Medical Centre and was later said to have recovered (at least physically).
