Biography

Jonas Frick was born in Lycksele in the north of Sweden 1962. He studied film in Stockholm and in 1988 directed the action comedy "Strul," starring the entertainer Björn Skifs. He later turned to commercials and in 2000 moved to the United States. In 2001 he died of pneumonia in New York.

Jonas Frick was a Swedish film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. Born in Stockholm raised in Lycksele, and first educated at Tannbergsskolan where he made his first film "Sista skriket" (1980), followed by three years of studies in film direction at The Dramatic Institute in Stockholm. With "Strul" (1988), Frick finally made his feature film debut with an action story which attracted almost a million Swedes. In 1999 he moved to Los Angeles to work for Radical Film. While casting for a commercial film in New York Jonas Frick contracted pneumonia and he passed away on Dec. 23, 2001.
