  • On a ballet tour of the Netherlands in 1940, she and her fellow dancers, including Frederick Ashton, were caught up in the German invasion, but managed to avoid capture and get a boat back to England. Fraser sang and danced for the troops in Paris in 1944.
  • Shared a dressing room with Maggie Smith and Judi Dench during a 1959-60 season at the Old Vic.
  • Trained at Sadlers Wells Ballet and performed throughout the early 1940s.
  • Made her stage debut playing the Spirit of Norway in the operetta "Song of Norway" in 1946 and continued to perform in musicals and revues thereafter.
  • She and husband, publisher Roger Lubbock, were celebrated hosts in England, known for their entertaining well-known authors, actors, publishers, journalists, et al. Lubbock, to whom she bore two sons, predeceased her.
  • She is survived by eight grandchildren.
