Loudermilk Is Leaving Netflix Soon — Stream the Critically Loved Dark Comedy While You Still Can ( Photo Credit – Netflix )
Loudermilk is quietly disappearing from Netflix, and fans who still haven’t hit play might be cutting it close. This dark comedy, led by Band of Brothers actor Ron Livingston, has built a loyal following since it landed on the platform but come July 1, all three seasons are out of the streaming library.
What Is Loudermilk About?
Sam (Ron Livingston) is a former music critic who’s now a recovering alcoholic. He runs a support group in Seattle, helping others clean up their lives while his own is still very much a mess. His best friend and sponsor, Ben Burns, played by Will Sasso, adds an extra layer of rough-edged warmth to the story. The supporting cast includes Laura Mennell, Anja Savcic, Mat Fraser, and more – each character bringing their own brand of dysfunction.

Series three of Gangs of London will air on Sky next year, and the trailer for it has landed. Right here, in fact.
After revitalising action cinema with the two astonishing martial arts films in The Raid franchise – his directorial debut, Merantau, is well worth tracking down too – Gareth Evans turned to television, co-creating Gangs of London with Matt Flannery in 2019.
A sprawling crime saga, the show follows the Wallace family as they grapple to keep control of their criminal empire. And we’ve had two series of it so far, with plenty of memorable moments to talk about.
The show became known for its notoriously violent action scenes, which are as visceral and gory as anything seen in a big screen slasher. Unsurprisingly, given Evans’ involvement, the work that went into those scenes was really quite something.

Netflix has decided not to return to Mount Olympus, canceling its series Kaos after a single season.
The decision comes about six weeks after the dark comedy, based on Greek and Roman mythology and created by Charlie Covell (The End of the F***ing World), made its debut on the streamer. Kaos appeared in Netflix’s top 10 charts for English-language series in each of its first four weeks, topping out at No. 3 for the week of Sept. 2-8. It earned 14.9 million views (measured by total viewing time divided by running time) over those weeks, a middling number by the streamer’s standards.
In the United States, the show had 3.34 million views as of Sept. 8, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings (viewing totals for subsequent weeks aren’t yet available).

By incorporating so many different characters from Greek mythology, Kaos opens the door for curious viewers to learn about lesser-known but equally fascinating myths. Though the stories of Greek mythology have been told repeatedly, Netflix's new dark comedy featuring the heroes and gods has quickly gained attention for its clever retelling of these ancient stories. Kaos gets many things right about Greek mythology, setting it apart from less faithful interpretations of the characters.
Still, the show, starring Jeff Goldblum, brilliantly creates a contemporary narrative of three mortals Ari, Riddy, and Caeneus who have the power to take down the almighty Zeus, leader of the pantheon. Because of the way they present the story, Kaos will entertain both Greek mythology enthusiasts and newcomers to the lore. Additionally, the show has the potential to spark an interest in Greek mythology for newcomers,...

“Loudermilk” was renewed for Season 3 before AT&T shuttered Audience last year. The third season, which does not yet have a U.S. premiere date, has already streamed on Prime Video in Canada.
“I could not be more pleased that ‘Loudermilk’ is finding a second life on Prime Video,” Farrelly said in a statement on Wednesday. “It’s a show that I’m extremely proud of and one that deserves to be seen by all. I would argue that it has the best ensemble cast on television and deserves to be in the conversation with ‘Schitt’s Creek’ and ‘Cobra Kai,’ shows that started on one network but...

This article is part of an ongoing series that looks at disability issues in television.
Screenwriter Jack Thorne calls the discussion on disability representation in media “the great ignored question,” and it’s a sentiment echoed by many of us with disabilities. As Thorne lays out, critics often speak out of both sides of their mouth — acknowledging the lack of disabled voices in the various phases of film and television production, but never questioning it beyond that. Now, the screenwriter of HBO’s “His Dark Materials” hopes that he can use his privilege to not only further the conversation, but do more towards promoting disabled inclusion.
Thorne himself inhabits a unique position when it comes to the topic of disability. When he was a university student at Cambridge, he was diagnosed with Cholinergic Urticaria, an allergy to physical, natural and self-generated heat. It was a diagnosis that brought on a wealth of different emotions,...

Activist Jay Ruderman on March 3 presented an award to brothers Peter and Bobby Farrelly for their decades of championing people with disabilities, saying show business “has the power to change public perception like no other industry.”
The occasion was the sixth annual Morton E. Ruderman Award for Inclusion, presented by the Ruderman Family Foundation and held at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.
Onstage, Jay Ruderman pointed out that U.S. unemployment is now 4%, but people with disabilities have 70% unemployment, despite being an estimated 20% of the population. The Farrelly brothers have cast people both in front of and behind the camera since their second film, the 1996 “Kingpin.”
Bobby Farrelly said, “Whatever we’ve given to the disability community, they’ve given us a lot more back.” Peter Farrelly exploded two prevalent myths: “That they will slow you down and cost you money. It’s just the opposite,” saying people with...

BBC America has ordered a series of short films that aim to change the perception of disability. The cable network has ordered Disability Monologues (w/t), curated by Mat Fraser, who has starred in His Dark Materials and American Horror Story.
Fraser, who has thalidomide-induced phocomelia, will star in the films alongside poet and playwright Jackie Hagan, Ruth Madeley (The Watch), Robert Softley Gale (My Left/Right Foot) and Liz Carr (Silent Witness). The films will premiere in 2020.
Through fictional monologues, Disability Monologues will portray the very real experiences of people with disabilities over the last 50 years in Britain. From the ignominy of discrimination and incarceration to the liberation of the electric wheelchair, there have been both great steps forward and terrible setbacks. These short films seek to challenge the world view that somehow, having a disability is a problem, or “not normal.”
