  • In 1956, he went on stage for the first time at the Stater Casino in the city of Luxemburg where he was noticed. He then studied theater at the State Conservatory for three years.
  • A member of the Théâtre Luxembourg for ten years, he regularly plays in comedies, cabaret, and sometimes in films, such as in Andy Bausch's feature film, "Rusty Boys".
  • He was a popular theater actor and singer is famous for his roles in commercial sketches and on the occasion of film and television productions.
  • He opened a café, the Theaterstuff, where he worked until his retirement.
  • Self-taught, he worked at Interbanque, then at ARBEB until 1981.
  • His roles in the advertising of a large insurance company could have contributed to his popularity among children.
  • Fox owes his great popularity to this day mainly to "Hei Elei", a show in which he performed sketches on Sundays.
  • His "Theaterstuff" in Limpertsberg was until 1989 a venue frequented by all the actors, artists and most of the politicians in the country.
  • After appearing in a play by his boss, Interbank, at the Casino in 1956, Eugène Heinen took an interest in him and welcomed him into the "Compagnons de la scène" which would later become the "Lëtzebuerger Theater".
  • In 2011/12 he played his last major television role in the Luxembourgish sitcom "Weemseesdet" where he played Grandpa Wampach.
  • In 2010 Fernand Fox was awarded the Best Actor prize at the 61st Montecatini Short Film Festival in Tuscany.
  • He was also a member of the national lottery ensemble and an indispensable part of the Revue.
  • Fernand Fox is also among the pioneers of Luxembourgish film. He could be seen in the first feature films made in the Grand Duchy, such as in "Déi Zwee Vum Bierg" and as Abbes in "Le Club des Chômeurs" and "La Revanche".
  • The man was a pillar of Luxembourgish entertainment, he was also the oldest actor in Luxembourg.
  • Fernand Fox was born at a time when acting was still a minor art in Luxembourg. When he appeared before the public, the professionalization of the performing arts had only just begun in the country. Later, when he could have made the leap abroad, it was too late for him. So he had to do something else outside of acting.
