He was an actor and writer, known for Knights of the Round Table (1953), The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1952) and BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950). He was married to Glynis Johns from 1942 to 1948, with one child, the actor Gareth Forwood, and then was Sir Dirk Bogarde's life partner and manager until his death in 1988. He died on May 18, 1988 in London, England.
