Arthur Forrest died at 95 following a 75-year career in television. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1926, he graduated from NYU and started as a janitor at the DuMont Television Network, working his way through at first as a studio assistant, then as a cameraman on "The Honeymooners" and "Captain Video and His Video Rangers", then at Channel 5 in New York, and in 1973 he directed the "Dick Cavett Show." In 1975, he went to Los Angeles and became famous for his roles on ABC reality shows "That's Incredible!", "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and the game shows "The Money Maze" and "Matchmaker". For over forty years he produced and directed Jerry Lewis' Labor Day Telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association with its famous occurrences including the live reunion of Dean Martin and Lewis that Frank Sinatra and Forrest had covertly organized. His wife Marcy was the show's talent coordinator. With 17 Emmy nominations, three Emmy awards and a Directors Guild of America nomination under his belt, Forrest retired from show business in 2017 at the age of 90.
