She trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and acting throughout school and graduated as valedictorian from Chaparral High School. She continued dancing and acting throughout college - where she performed in productions such as "A Chorus Line". Regina graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard University.
In 1997, she made her professional acting debut as the first Black actor ever to appear in an Irish soap opera as Ruby O'Driscoll in Glenroe. A steady stream of comedy and dramatic roles continued in plays across theaters in Dublin, Ireland, leading Regina to star as Annabelle in "A Streetcar Named Desire" alongside Oscar-winning actress, Frances McDormand, at the prestigious Gate Theater.
In the early 2000's, Ford began acting in feature films including the Oscar-nominated film, "In America", and the local, Irish hit "American Women". She provided voice overs on numerous Irish radio ads and hosted multiple TV shows on Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE).
