This Episode from “The Office” Is the Highest Rated Christmas Episode in TV Sitcom History
Image
Fans of the U.S. version of The Office might feel a little disappointed upon discovering that the U.K. version holds the crown for the best Christmas episode of all time. The Office (U.S.) delivered some great Yuletide episodes that are not-so-surprisingly among the top-rated sitcom Christmas specials. However, Ricky Gervais crafted something truly magical with the series finale of The Office U.K.

Among the two-part special episodes of Series 3, the episode Christmas Special: Part 2 achieved the highest IMDb rating for a Christmas episode. Gervais and co-creator Stephen Merchant decided against producing a full third series, opting instead to conclude the show with these brilliantly written specials.

Ricky Gervais
The Office | Trailer released for Australian version on Prime Video
Ricky Gervais
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s The Office has been remade once again, this time in Australia. Here’s the trailer.

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s original version of The Office launched on the BBC in 2001. It introduced the world to boss from hell David Brent (Gervais) as he attempted to look good in front of the cameras documenting his workplace, paper merchants Wernham Hogg, alongside staff including Tim (Martin Freeman) Gareth (Mackenzie Crook) and Dawn (Lucy Davis).

All while trying to stay onside with bullying best mate Chris Finch (Ralph Ineson) and, in the second series, his new boss from the Swindon branch, Neil (Patrick Baladi).

Gervais and Merchant took cringe comedy to the extreme, with Brent becoming a byword for social awkwardness and inappropriate behaviour.

Since then, there have been 13 international versions, with Greg Daniels’ American version starring Steve Carrell being far and away the most successful,...

The Mavericks’ journey to the Western Conference Finals, led by the indomitable Luka Dončić, included a 4-2 series win over Oklahoma City. Dončić’s ability to control the game and deliver in clutch moments has been pivotal in propelling Dallas through the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have emerged as a force to be reckoned with, thanks to the stellar performances of Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. Minnesota’s resilience and adaptability have been on full display as they navigated through a tough Western Conference bracket, knocking out the Denver Nuggets — last year’s champs — in a full seven-game series.

One of the most anticipated aspects of this series is...

Stars: Dean-Charles Chapman, Finn Cole, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ferida Walsh-Peelo, Ralph Ineson, Travis Fimmel, Conleith Hill | Written and Directed by Eoin Macken

About 4 or 5 years ago I had the pleasure of interviewing an up-and-coming director about his debut feature Leopard. A really low-budget independent Irish flick that had all the integrity and power of a Shane Meadows movie and showed us that Eoin Macken was well on his way to be more than just a leading man on American hospital drama The Night Shift. I was genuinely smitten with Leopard and thought it was a powerhouse story told with style, grace and intelligence. Macken was a director I was now aware of and would have to keep an eye on going forward. What would follow was a hell of a run on American hospital drama The Night Shift as Tc Callahan; and a role on the prematurely cancelled George R Martin show Nightflyers for Syfy.

'Ready Player One' Star Ralph Ineson on How 'The Witch' Changed Everything
Chris Finch
For a generation of Brits (and a good-sized number of people around the world), he’ll forever be Chris Finch (or Finchy!), the painfully awful and sexist bully from the original U.K. series of The Office.

Fifteen years have passed since the 2003's conclusive Christmas special (where Ricky Gervais’ David Brent triumphantly tells his supposed friend to — finally — “fuck off”), and Ralph Ineson is the first to admit his career had been “trucking on very nicely” since leaving the Wernham Hogg paper merchants. A steady lineup of roles across British film and TV (including the penultimate Harry Potter and...

Wamg At The Winnie The Pooh Junket
Well, hello all of you crazy kids out there! It’s your nerd with the word, Melissa here, and I have a treat for you…

Recently, I got to attend the Winnie The Pooh junket at Disney Animation Studios. I was like a kid in a candy store! Not only do I love movies… but I love to draw! Hooray!

We started the day with a screening of the movie Winnie The Pooh with an introduction by the Producer, Peter Del Vecho.

Next, I got to go into the recording booth and attempt to do a voiceover for Piglet. They showed me a clip from the new film, and then I had to read the script while attempting to also see when Piglet’s mouth was moving. It was really hard, but super fun! (So, if anyone wants to hire me… I am tooootally available! Hint, Hint… Wink, Wink!) Even...
