Fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Italian.

He graduated in architecture (1988/1993).

Was offered a role in both Les feux de l'amour (1973) and Dynastie (2017) but he declined because he wants to have a more respectable career in the United States, as he fears accepting acting in American soap operas will limit his participation in big Hollywood productions.

He did a workshop of TV and cinema techniques in 2000.

Lived in Venezuela for two years as a child from 1980 to 1982.

He worked as an architect for a few years. Then became an amateur theatre actor for fun. He did several Tv commercials until one day at a premiere, a very well know playwright invited him for a Tv show. The following two and a half years he shot a french movie, a Spanish movie, an Italian mini series and a Portuguese show. Needless to say it changed his life forever.

Had theatre classes with José Boavida in 1998/1999.

Father of two daughters named Júlia Vilhena de Matos Fernandes (b. 2005) and Leonor Vilhena de Matos Fernandes (b. December 2009).
