How Strong The Rings Of Powers Gil-galad Is Compared To Galadriel & Other Lotr Elves
Benjamin Walker
Gil-galad (Benjamin Walker), High King of the Elves, appears intermittently in The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings of Power and is one of the strongest Elves in Tolkien's lore. He carries an authority respected by his peers and subjects and is typically at the center of decisions that determine the fate of Middle-earth. Yet, despite this central role, it's still debatable whether The Rings of Power shows the full extent of Gil-galad's abilities.

Gil-galad is mentioned in Tolkiens Middle-earth legendarium, The Simarillion, and The Lord Of The Rings. Before his appearance in The Rings Of Power's cast list, he can be seen briefly in Peter Jacksons The Fellowship Of The Ring, portrayed by Mark Ferguson, during the opening prologue sequence and briefly in the War of the Last Alliance beside Elrond (Hugo Weaving). However, Gil-galad plays a much more significant role in the lore of Tolkien than his limited screen time would suggest.

Selena Gomez Spotted Drinking ?
Ashley Benson
Squeaky clean pop star and actress Selena Gomez was spotting drinking from a bottle inside a paper bag outside a St. Petersburg, Fla., convenience store on Wednesday.

But fear not, parents of her younger fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Gomez was only filming a scene for her upcoming movie "Spring Breakers." The film is a big departure from the 19-year-old's past films like "Princess Protection Program" and "Monte Carlo." Gomez plays a hard-partying teen who robs a fast food restaurant to pay for her Florida vacation.

Photographs of Gomez and her co-stars Vanessa Hudgens, 23, and Ashley Benson, 22, in bikinis and short shorts have flooded the Internet since filming began, and now it looks as if they are getting to the real party scenes.

Gomez wasn't actually drinking, but that doesn't mean she hasn't been partying when the cameras aren't rolling. Photos of the actress, along with boyfriend Justin Bieber,...

Actors Sue for 'Lord of the Rings' Profits
Fifteen actors from The Lord of the Rings movies have filed suit against film studio New Line, accusing the company of a breach of contract over merchandising. The New Zealand actors filed court papers in Los Angeles Superior Court last Wednesday, alleging New Line broke an agreement to pay them five per cent of an estimated $100 million profits from merchandising sales, such as caps, games and mugs. The actors' lawyer Henry Gradstein said New Line took "gross participation" fees that the company wasn't entitled to. Gradstein says, "The expenses will always be approximately 104 per cent. It's Hollywood accounting." This is the latest of several lawsuits New Line have been served with in relation to the film adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien classic novels. In 2005, director Peter Jackson accused New Line of withholding profits from the first installment in the trilogy The Fellowship Of The Ring, while producer Saul Zaentz settled out of court with the firm over the rights to the books. According to industry newspaper Variety, the fifteen actors filing lawsuits are: Noel Appleby, Jed Brophy, Mark Ferguson, Ray Henwood, Bruce Hopkins, William Johnson, Nathaniel Lees, Sarah McLeod, Ian Mune, Paul Norell, Craig Parker, Robert Pollock, Martyn Sanderson, Peter Tait and Stephen Ure.
