Jade Cargill Embracing Storm at WWE With X-Men-Inspired Look Highlights Why She’s a Top Fan Pick for the MCU’s Ororo Munroe
Image
Jade Cargill just gave fans another reason to believe she’s the perfect choice to play Storm in the MCU.

The buzz around the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going strong for years now. Back in 2019, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that mutants would eventually be part of the MCU. H

e explained that the words “mutants” and “X-Men” could be used interchangeably and also said the MCU version would be different from the one seen in Fox’s films.

Since then, fans have been guessing who might play the legendary characters when they finally arrive on screen. And when it comes to Storm, one name keeps coming up, Jade Cargill.

Jade Cargill Stepping Out at WWE in an X-Men Storm Costume and Theme Confirms Why She Is One of the Fan Favorites to Play Ororo in the MCU
Image
The X-Men are officially coming to the MCU, that much is certain, and we honestly can’t wait to see what Marvel Studios has in store. Ever since the project was first teased and rumors began swirling, fans have been busy creating their dream cast lists, ranging from inspired choices to total misfires.

But one standout contender for the role of Ororo Munroe, a.k.a. Storm, has stepped into the spotlight herself, making it clear not only how much she wants the role, but also just how perfect she could be for it.

Jade Cargill, an athlete, mental health and online fitness coach, recently showed up on stage dressed as Storm with the theme playing in the background, and it’s pure perfection. We actually agree with the first comment that Kevin Feige should call her right now.

Rumor: Sony Pictures Has Paused All Its Spider-man Spin-offs - Including One Revolving Around Knull
Image
When the majority of fans rejected Sony Pictures' vision for the web-slinger after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the studio was left with no other option than to finally turn to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige for help.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and Sinister Six were scrapped, and Tom Holland was cast as the McU's Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Sony, however, forged ahead with its Venom movie (set in a separate reality), and when that was a hit, Morbius, Madame Web, and Kraven the Hunter followed.

They were critical and commercial flops, and while the Venom franchise remained successful, each instalment grossed less than the last. El Muerto, Agent Venom, Spider-Woman, and more have since fallen by the wayside, news which comes as more of a relief than a disappointment.

Insider Daniel Richtman has shared an update today, reiterating previous reports from the trades that...

Marvel Kept The Real Thunderbolts Title A Secret With A Clever Trick
Image
The following contains spoilers for Marvel Studios' "Thunderbolts*."

It's no secret that Phases 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had their ups and downs. Since the unprecedented success of the Infinity Saga, particularly after "Avengers: Endgame," it's been an uphill battle for Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who, in many ways, became a victim of his success. While there have been some standout home runs, such as "WandaVision" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home," the post-"Endgame" MCU has spawned some of the most uninspired entries in the franchise, including the abysmal "Secret Invasion" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania."

James Gunn, whose swan song with Marvel Studios came in the form of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," has shared his thoughts on why he believes the McU's woes speak to the struggles of the greater movie industry. Ultimately, a quality script is the top concern, and despite the property's missteps,...

Ironheart: Marvel Shares A Teasing First Glimpse Of [Spoiler] - "On Tuesday, He Finally Arrives"
Image
Ironheart returns for its final three episodes this Tuesday, and Marvel Studios has teased the MCU debut of a certain character with a shadowy first look (via Threads).

We're sure most of you already know who we're referring to, but just in case, here's your spoiler warning.

Fans were convinced that Mephisto would turn out to be the big bad of WandaVision, but the demonic villain was never revealed to be the one pulling the strings in Westview. It's since become a bit of a running joke that the character was being teased in the various Disney+ shows (and even some movies) that followed, but - and even Marvel seems to be fully aware that the cat is out of the bag at this stage - the powerful sorcerer is indeed set to appear in Ironheart, and he is played by Sacha Baron Cohen.

We won't reveal how and when he shows up,...

Kevin Feige Is The Highest-Grossing Movie Producer Of All Time — But Who Is Next In Line?
Image
Who Is The Second-Highest-Grossing Movie Producer After Kevin Feige?(Photo Credit –Wikimedia)

Box office milestones are often tied to directors, actors, or franchises. Yet behind every billion-dollar hit is a producer who marshals budgets, shapes visions, and makes the right calls before a single frame is shot. In an industry where the spotlight rarely shines on producers, some names have become synonymous with financial success. Kevin Feige, the architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has redefined modern franchise filmmaking and sits comfortably as the highest-grossing movie producer in history.

But Feige isn’t alone at the top. Just below him stands a producer whose track record spans decades, genres, and studios. This producer has quietly built a staggering filmography, moving from franchise building to shaping the tone of blockbusters for generations. With total box office receipts second only to Feige’s, this name might not be as frequently mentioned in headlines,...

‘Savage Hulk’ Will Reportedly Appear in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ According to a Suprising Leak
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day might bring more surprises than fans expected. The movie could feature Savage Hulk, a much more intense and angry version of the Hulk. This came to light after Brett Pawlak, the film’s cinematographer, seemed to hint at it through his storyboard. Fans quickly started talking about the possibility after his reveal.

Via Brett Pawlak Via Brett Pawlak

This isn’t the first time rumors about Savage Hulk joining the film have appeared. Back in May, some industry insiders suggested the same thing. But hearing it from someone working on the movie makes it feel much more likely.

For those who don’t know, Savage Hulk is the classic Hulk many fans remember, loud, angry, and unpredictable. Unlike Professor Hulk, who is calm and smart, Savage Hulk is all about raw power and rage. He often talks in the third person and acts on instinct. This...

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s’ Cinematographer Has Seemingly Confirmed That Savage Hulk Will Appear in the Movie
Image
It looks like Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be more than just another Spider-Man sequel. A surprising character might be swinging, or smashing his way into the film: Savage Hulk.

Brett Pawlak, the cinematographer working on the movie, seems to have let this detail slip. According to his storyboard, Pawlak recently “confirmed” that Savage Hulk will appear in the upcoming film. While we don’t have any details, it didn’t take long for people to start talking.

This isn’t the first time Savage Hulk has been linked to Brand New Day. Back in May, a few industry insiders shared rumors suggesting the same thing. But now that someone involved in the film has hinted at it directly, it feels a lot more real.

For anyone unfamiliar, Savage Hulk is a specific version of the Hulk.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day recruits another Marvel veteran
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is easily one of the most anticipated movies of 2026. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film will bring back Tom Holland as the webslinger in a new story that will potentially launch a new trilogy for Spidey. It's currently gearing up to shoot in the UK, so there have been a number of announcements about the movie over the past few months. Now, it has just been reported that Brett Pawlak will serve as the film’s cinematographer.

Pawlak previously worked as the cinematographer on films such as The Wannabe, Max Steele, Unicorn Store, Life Itself, and Instant Family, in addition to shooting TV shows such as This is Us and Next. He is also no stranger to the MCU, as he worked as the director of photography on several episodes of the upcoming Wonder Man TV series (which will premiere on Disney Plus in December). With...

Jon Watts Exited ‘Fantastic Four’ After ‘Draining’ Experience Directing ‘No Way Home’: ‘I Was Just Out of Steam’
Image
Jon Watts is sharing a relatable truth: Sometimes directors get burnt out, too. The filmmaker, who singlehandedly revived the “Spider-Man” IP with his Tom Holland-led features, said during a recent masterclass at the Mediterrane Film Festival (via THR) that he exited fellow MCU project “The Fantastic Four” because he was just “out of gas.”

Watts was announced announced as the director of a new “Fantastic Four” movie in 2020. He parted ways with the project in 2022; Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said at the time that the studio was “supportive of his reasons for stepping away.”

Now, Watts is explaining why he dropped out of directing “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (Matt Shakman is helming the feature, which will be released in theaters on July 25). “I was out of gas,” Watts said. “The Covid layer on top of making a giant movie layer, I knew I didn’t have what...

Marvel's next MCU saga might not be the one we hoped for after all
Image
What do we want in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? We want mutants, and more importantly, the X-Men! When are we getting it?! No one knows.

We’ve seen clues of mutants' inevitable to the MCU arrival in the Multiverse Saga through titles such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, and more. However, other than the past actors from 20th Century Fox X-Men franchise appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, there hasn’t been confirmation of when we’ll see Marvel’s Mightiest Mutants taking center stage. Sadly, this won’t be an article that gives hope for an upcoming mutant-led project.

Although Marvel Studios Preisdent Kevin Feige previously revealed that the "Mutants Era" would be the next chapter of the MCU that doesn't necessarily mean that it will be titled "The Mutants Saga". And now, a new report has cast doubt on just...

Thunderbolts* Gag Reel And BTS Featurette Focusing On Lewis Pullman's Sentry Released
Image
Marvel Studios recently announced that Thunderbolts*, aka The New Avengers, is set to debut in Digital devices on July 1 before hitting shelves on Blu-ray/DVD from July 29, and a couple of the bonus features have now been released online.

The featurette focuses on arguably the movie's most intriguing character, Bob Reynolds, aka the incredibly powerful Sentry, aka the potentially apocalyptic entity known as The Void. Lewis Pullman, who essentially plays three different people, explains his approach to the role, and the video also includes some new behind-the-scenes footage of Sentry in action.

The gag reel is a little on the short side, but there are some fun out-takes, and the clip ends with Julia Louis-Dreyfus improving (presumably) her lines from an early scene.

New Details On James Bond 26's Director Deal Revealed, Includes One Condition That Stopped Nolan Making It
Image
A new report for Bond 26 reveals some details about the directing deal, and it may explain why Christopher Nolan wasn't selected. After a four-year-long hiatus since No Time to Die, a new era of the Bond franchise, especially under Amazon, has found its director in Denis Villeneuve.

Before the announcement, many directors were considered favorites, including Nolan. The Oscar-winning director has been a notable choice for a while, although the likelihood seemed thin.

Now, Puck has broken down new details about Villeneuve's contrast, indicating limitations on his involvement with the Bond franchise. The director won't get the final cut and won't be considered a producer for subsequent Bond movies and TV series. He is also only signed on for one movie, but that could change if the installment is successful.

Despite being the first film in what is expected to be a large Bond franchise, Villeneuve's Bond movie...

Galactus Destroys a Planet in a Stunning New Look of ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’

The new Marvel movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to bring the massive cosmic villain Galactus to the big screen, played by Ralph Ineson. This film, part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and planned for release in July 2025, is the second reboot of the Fantastic Four series.

Galactus is no ordinary villain. The film’s director, Matt Shakman, described him as a “humongous, 14-billion-year-old, planet-devouring cosmic vampire.” A recent look at Galactus destroying a planet shows that the movie will stay true to this powerful character. Galactus Destroys a Planet in Explosive New Look at ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’

The upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps is bringing one of Marvel’s biggest cosmic threats to life with Ralph Ineson playing Galactus, the planet-devouring giant. This new movie, set to release in July 2025, is part of the MCU and marks the second reboot of the Fantastic Four series.

Ralph Ineson’s Galactus is no ordinary villain. The director, Matt Shakman, described him as a “humongous, 14-billion-year-old, planet-devouring cosmic vampire,” and a new look at the villain destroying a planet confirms both that and that he will be accurately portrayed:

First Steps to ruin: Is Marvel’s Fantastic Four finally about to let the bad guys win?
Owen Wilson, Tara Strong, Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Wunmi Mosaku in Loki (2021)
Is cosmic obliteration really what the future holds, as the latest trailer for the forthcoming First Steps appears to show?

What if Thanos really had finger-snapped away half of all life in the universe and then kicked back on his scorched Titan homestead like a giant, purple Cincinnatus? What if Ultron had succeeded in uploading himself into the cloud, turning every smart fridge and Fitbit into a genocidal death bot? What if Loki had kept the Tesseract, conquered Earth, and turned Avengers Tower into a golden skyscraper shaped like his own smirking face?

These are the Marvel sliding‑doors moments we are secretly relieved that we will never see – too bleak, too bonkers, or too off‑brand to survive outside the whiteboard of producer and Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

Ironheart Poll And Spoiler Discussion: What Did You Make Of The 3-Episode Premiere?
Image
Marvel's latest Disney+ series, Ironheart, debuted with its first three episodes earlier this week. Though initial reactions were definitely leaning positive, full reviews have been more mixed, and the show now seems to have settled on Rotten Tomatoes with a so-so 69% based on 55 verdicts.

There was never really much hype behind this one, as Riri Williams simply wasn't a Marvel Comics character the majority of fans had been clamouring to see get her own series. A muted response to Riri's MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever didn't help matters, nor did the trailers that were released in the build-up to the show's premiere.

While it's fair to say that anticipation for Ironheart wasn't exactly through the roof, the premiere does seem to have made a few converts. At the very least, a lot of viewers are curious to see what will happen next after the closing moments of...

Jon Watts Explains Pandemic Fatigue Behind Fantastic Four Exit
Jon Watts
Jon Watts has publicly detailed why he exited Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, citing exhaustion from the pandemic-era shoot of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Speaking during a masterclass at Malta’s Mediterrane Film Festival, the director said he was “out of gas” after months of stringent Covid-19 safeguards and delayed visual-effects workflows and felt unable to “make that movie great” at the required scale.

He described the combined weight of safeguarding crew health and shepherding a $200 million production through supply-chain turmoil as “emotionally draining,” adding that the experience left him short of creative energy for Marvel’s first-family reboot. Industry writers note that Watts had just steered the multiversal Spider-Man finale to nearly $1.9 billion worldwide, a workload that dwarfed his previous two web-slinger entries.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and co-president Louis D’Esposito endorsed the decision in a 2022 statement, praising Watts’ collaboration on the Spider-Man trilogy and expressing...

Ironheart Stars Dominique Thorne & Anthony Ramos Tease A Major MCU Debut - Spoilers
Image
The first three episodes of Marvel Television's Ironheart are now streaming on Disney+, and the show's main cast members have been fielding questions about what's to come in the back half of the season.

The actors have mostly kept things pretty vague up until now, but when asked about a major cameo in an upcoming episode during an interview with Et, Dominique Thorne (Riri Williams) and Anthony Ramos (The Hood) were surprisingly forthcoming about a certain long-awaited MCU debut.

“We know how much the fans, and how long the fans, have been waiting for that," said Thorne. "For it to be in this show that they get him, let's go.”

“He's one of the elite actors of our time, too,” added Ramos.

This is probably as far as the interviewer and the actors were willing to go without actually naming the character, but we're pretty sure the majority of...

Ironheart: Zeke Stane Has Already Played the Main Villain in a Marvel Movie 12 Years Ago
Image
Before Zeke Stane steps into the limelight as the main villain in Ironheart, it’s worth noting he already had a major Marvel moment over a decade ago. In Iron Man: Rise of Technovore (2013), a Japanese anime film by Madhouse, Stane played the central antagonist, going head-to-head with Tony Stark in a high-tech showdown. Directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki and penned by Brandon Auman, the movie followed Stark’s pursuit of a biotechnological terror.

With Matthew Mercer voicing Iron Man and Norman Reedus as the Punisher, this lesser-known Marvel anime offered fans a unique, stylized glimpse into Stane’s villainy long before the MCU picked him up.

Marvel’s Most Disturbing X-Men Controversy Is One the Thunderbolts* Director Must Avoid at All Costs in the Movie
Image
Even though Thunderbolts* failed to break even at the box office with its $180M estimated budget, Jake Schreier’s 2025 MCU project made quite the buzz among fans. Additionally, the final revelation of the asterisk as New Avengers added to the excitement further. So now, given the amount of popularity he earned on behalf of Marvel, Schreier is being eyed by the studio for another project—X-Men reboot.

Although sources have revealed that the deal is in early talks and hasn’t been finalized, Jake Schrier has seemingly become Disney and Marvel’s top choice after Thunderbolts* became one of the MCU’s best reviewed movies in years. However, in the wake of his potential involvement in the reboot, Schrier needs to carefully handle an X-Men controversy—the unnecessary sexualization of young female characters, depicted in the comics.

Marvel's Ironheart Resurrects The Most Horrifying Feature Of 1990s Technology
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Ironheart" season 1, episode 1 -- "Take Me Home."

"Ironheart" closes the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 5, and arrives into a troubled Marvel TV landscape. This is a time of Kevin Feige admitting things went sideways after "Avengers: Endgame," and as such, not the ideal time for a new MCU series to drop. That's a shame, because Chinaka Hodge's Disney+ show is an absolute breath of fresh air that combines Marvel's high-octane sci-fi antics with a deep sense of community and humanity.

"Ironheart" episode 1 ("Take Me Home") quickly establishes that the show is only a "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" spin-off in the sense that it features Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) and briefly references her "internship abroad." This is not a show full of vibranium and vast resources -- on the contrary, the very first moments see Riri kicked out of MIT after the latest in a series...

Daredevil Star Charlie Cox Has Revealed Whether He'll Return As Matt Murdock In Avengers: Doomsday
Image
Marvel Studios dropped a few exciting surprises during the Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal, including the return of some familiar faces from 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise. There were some major omissions, though, and even with production underway, it feels like this ensemble is far from complete.

Kevin Feige has since confirmed it wasn't the full cast, and one of the most disappointing omissions remains Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox.

As part of Marvel Television's Daredevil and The Defenders on Netflix (an endeavour Feige had little involvement with), Cox was kept away from the MCU until finally being brought back several years later for a Spider-Man: No Way Home cameo. He later showed up in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo, and recently took centre stage in Daredevil: Born Again.

Unfortunately, it's starting to feel like the new Marvel Television will also run largely independently from Marvel Studios,...

Kevin Feige makes the MCU announcement we've all been waiting for
Image
Marvel fans are on the edges of their seats for the era that the franchise is currently in. After some early missteps, the Multiverse Saga is roaring towards an epic conclusion that will see The Avengers - from the past, present, and future - reunite to stop the imminent arrival of Doctor Doom and the destruction that he will bring forth for the Multiverse.

Avengers: Doomsday looks to make its presence felt on the world next December, and it will likely be one of the biggest movies of 2026 (if not the biggest). It's the moment we've all been waiting for, and it's an Avengers movie; what could be better than that for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Well, likely the fact that it will lead into a direct sequel in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Speaking of direct lead-ins, anticipation is high for the Marvel Studios two-parter, but those Avengers movies...

At times, sequels are planned and necessary to give you closure, but in today’s age, they are usually cash grabs and not everyone’s cup of tea. The story plays out in an alternate reality, a ballsy move by Kevin Feige and company. However, it's also freed up filmmaker Matt Shakman to give us a 1960s-inspired take on these heroes that simply wouldn't be possible on the Sacred Timeline.

In this feature, we're taking a deep dive into all the biggest reveals, Easter Eggs, and possible story spoilers revealed by Marvel Studios today. Those include a trip to Taa II, a major MCU debut, and some hints at the inclusion of an iconic catchphrase.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Trailer Hints At “Clobberin’ Time” As Galactus Approaches
Image
Updated, June 25: A fourth trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four: The First Steps has arrived.

Right as the quartet is about to take the stage on The Ted Gilbert Show, which we’ve seen in previous clips, they get alerts on their retro wristbands. The same alert comes as they are about to sit down to dinner. Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer then floats out of the darkness to “herald his beginning” meaning Galactus.

There are also several attempts in the clip to get The Thing to say “It’s clobberin’ time!” which he repeatedly asserts is from the comics and not something he likes to say.

Previous, April 17: Featuring a “retro-futuristic, 1960s vibe” – and apparently a new addition to what Marvel calls its First Family – the new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has just dropped from Marvel Studios.

The clip introduces Reed Richards/Mister...

Ryan Gosling Joins Avengers: Doomsday’s Cast As Ghost Rider In MCU Art
Image
Ryan Gosling is transformed into the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Ghost Rider in exciting Avengers: Doomsday art. Nicolas Cage gave life to the Johnny Blaze iteration of Ghost Rider in two live-action movies. Deadpool & Wolverine, one of the McU's most successful movies, originally planned to have Cage return as the character, but that ended up not working out.

Marvel also brought another version of Ghost Rider from the comics to live-action in Agents of Shield. The TV show, which has a murky status as MCU canon or not, had The Last of Us star Gabriel Luna play the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider. At the moment, Luna is not set to return, so another Ghost Rider could arise.

On Instagram, @the.armanofficial imagined what Ryan Gosling could look like as the McU's Ghost Rider in Avengers: Doomsday.

Pedro Pascal Nailed One Part Of The McU's Reed Richards So Much, Marvel Asked Him To Tone It Down
Image
Pedro Pascal will officially enter the MCU as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and he has already nailed one aspect of the character so much that Marvel Studios had to ask that he tone it down. Pascal is due to star as the iconic Marvel Comics character on July 25.

With Marvel's First Family historically failing to hit the mark with critics, the pressure is on for Pedro Pascal and his co-stars to do justice to the characters on the big screen. So far, the prognosis is positive, as The Fantastic Four: First Steps appears to be leaning into the 1960s tone that evokes the age of their comic book debut.

Pedro Pascal has apparently taken to the spirit of this period so much that vocal coaches asked him to rein in the transatlantic accent he was initially using for Reed Richards, as the actor divulged in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Ironheart Full Season Trailer Sees Riri Williams Face-Off Against [Spoiler] In Her Final Armor
Image
The first three episodes of Marvel's Ironheart are now streaming on Disney+, and we have a brand-new trailer for the latest MCU series featuring plenty of footage from the back half of the season.

Spoilers follow.

At the end of the third episode, Riri Williams was forced to leave John, the criminal cousin of Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, behind to die in order to maintain her cover. During their battle, Riri drops a piece of Joe McGillicuddy's tech, which is sure to lead the cops right to her new ally's door.

As we now know, Joe is actually the son of Iron Man baddie Obadiah Stane. In the comics, Ezekiel "Zeke" Stane augments his own body with hyper-advanced bionics that allow him to innately wield many of the same abilities as Iron Man.

In the new trailer below, we see Williams facing-off against a mysterious foe who can seemingly...

New ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Teaser Reveals a Glimpse of Galactus and Franklin Richards
Image
A new teaser for Fantastic Four: First Steps has given fans a closer look at some important characters, especially the cosmic villain Galactus and the young Franklin Richards. This film marks the first time the Fantastic Four appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), with a planned release date of July 25, 2025.

The story is set on a retro-futuristic Earth inspired by the 1960s. Here, the Fantastic Four face a huge danger: Galactus, a giant cosmic being who survives by consuming planets. Ralph Ineson plays Galactus and describes him as a “humongous, 14-billion-year-old, planet-devouring cosmic vampire.” Unlike earlier versions where Galactus appeared more like a cloud, this movie uses a comic-accurate design.

Ironheart's Audience Score Revealed - And How Its Rotten Tomatoes Score Compares To Similar MCU Titles
Image
Ironheart premiered on Disney+ yesterday evening with three episodes, and the critical response has been mostly positive. As we write this, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever follow-up has a solid 72% Rotten Tomatoes score based on 36 reviews.

While it's considered a "Fresh" score, it's also on the lower end for a Marvel Studios/Television series. 72% places Ironheart in the same ballpark as Echo (70%) and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (79%), and above only the "Rotten" Secret Invasion (53%).

The vast majority of MCU TV shows reside in the 80s, with Loki season 1 (92%), Hawkeye (92%), WandaVision (92%), and Ms. Marvel (98%) still the studio's best-reviewed live-action series.

In terms of movies, Ironheart has the same score as Iron Man 2. That places it above the likes of Thor: The Dark World (67%) and The Incredible Hulk (68%) and beneath Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (73%) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (76%). Iron Man has 94%, while Iron Man 3 is rated...

Ironheart Full Reviews Arrive As Marvel's Latest Disney+ Series Hits Rotten Tomatoes
Image
The first three episodes of Marvel's latest Disney+ show, Ironheart, are now streaming, and the review embargo lifted just as the series premiered.

Last night's social media reactions were largely positive, but full reviews often tell a slightly different story. What's the consensus on Riri Williams' solo series?

While most of the write-ups are definitely a little more critical overall, very few are outright negative, and as we write this, Ironheart has generated an early Rotten Tomatoes score of 68% based on 25 reviews.

Quite a few of the reviews note that the show gets off to a slow start, before building to an exciting finale. The cast also come in for high praise, with lead Dominique Thorne and Lyric Ross as Riri's deceased best friend turned AI N.A.T.A.L.I.E. mentioned as standouts. Though the VFX are polished, the action sequences are said to be mostly bland and unengaging.

‘Ironheart’ Is Marvel’s Gamble on a Minor MCU Hero. It Doesn’t Pay Off
Image
Riri Williams, who suits up as the titular heroine of the new Marvel Cinematic Universe series Ironheart, insists that her plans are much grander than flying around in a suit of armor inspired by Iron Man’s. Her technology, she boasts, will transform the world, and will be, as she says repeatedly, “iconic.”

Ironheart, unfortunately, seems destined to fall well short of iconic status. It’s one of the last vestiges of a version of the MCU that doesn’t really exist anymore, featuring one of the least compelling main...

Ironheart TV Review: Dominique Thorne leads Marvel Television’s new tech-meets-magic series
Image
Plot: Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams — a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood”.

Review: Announced in December 2020, Marvel Studios’ Ironheart is finally debuting on Disney+ almost three years after Dominique Thorne appeared as Riri Williams in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Since that film, the MCU has hit its lowest point both creatively and at the box office, leading Kevin Feige and the leadership at Marvel Studios to approach their small screen projects differently than they used to. Ironheart was developed with the aim of a multi-season approach despite being billed as a limited series.

‘Ironheart’ Review: Dominique Thorne Soars in Marvel’s Solid Wakanda-Inspired Spinoff
Image
Late in “Ironheart,” during a bad guy’s menacing monologue, our villain doesn’t like what he’s hearing from one of his henchman. A recent mission was completed a little too quickly, and the ensuing explanation isn’t ringing true. “You know what this story lacks?,” the Big Bad tells his lying goon. “Drama. And a story with no drama, no emotion, no detail — it lacks believability.”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t exactly thrive on believability, either — nor should it. These are superheroes! They fly through the sky, travel to other dimensions, and battle with gods. But lately, they haven’t done well with drama. Portraying personal- and galactic-level crises through spectacle used to be Kevin Feige & Co.’s speciality — sewing so much turmoil that not only did each new movie/mission feel momentous, but it could extend and twist through satisfying sequels and side characters, trilogies and team-ups.

Marvel's new Avengers movies won't feature the MCU debut we've waited for
Image
The big Marvel Cinematic Universe crossovers aren't just the ideal place to bring together characters we met in previous projects, but also to feature the debut of unexpected heroes. Who can forget when Captain America: Civil War introduced us to both Black Panther and Spider-Man? Besides, Channing Tatum's Gambit stole the spotlight for the very first time during the events of Deadpool & Wolverine, and Sentry finally joined the picture in the same movie where the New Avengers assembled.

With such an amazing track record, all eyes are on the upcoming MCU crossovers to repeat history once again and debut characters no one could've seen coming. That becomes especially true now that the multiverse is about to break wide open, and any hero could jump out of a portal from another dimension. However, just because that can happen, it doesn't mean it will. A new report indicates an iconic Marvel...

Thunderbolts* Filmmaker Jake Schreier Explains His X-men Approach - Without Confirming That He'll Direct!
Image
Earlier today, Black Panther director and Ironheart executive producer appeared to confirm the recent reports that Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier is set to helm Marvel Studios' long-awaited X-Men reboot.

Coogler - perhaps unaware that the news still hasn't been officially announced - seemed pretty certain that "Jake is directing that" when asked about being a fan-favorite choice to helm the project himself, but Schreier isn't quite so ready to confirm that he's attached to the movie.

During an appearance at the Mediterrane Film Festival in Malta, Schreier was asked how he'd approach the reboot and what he'd do differently to the previous movies from the now defunct 20th Century Studios era.

“Even if I were confirmed on that movie, I don't think I would be allowed to answer that question," Schreier responded. "I guess what I would say is that it always starts from character and working with great writers and collaborators,...

‘Thunderbolts*' Director Responds to X-Men Reboot Rumors [Exclusive]
Image
Jake Schreier knows it's exactly what fans are hoping for — but he’s not confirming anything just yet. At the Mediterrane Film Festival in Malta, the Thunderbolts* director took part in a panel — attended by Collider's Steve Weintraub — and he was asked whether he’d do anything differently with Marvel’s long-awaited X-Men reboot. Schreier kept it brief, if cryptic, adding that he was not confirmed to take on the job at this moment in time, despite fervent media speculation to the contrary. However, Schreier did concede that he would start the project from the ground up and focus on what made the X-Men so compelling from the very beginning — their characters.

“Even if I were confirmed on that movie, I don't think I would be allowed to answer that question. I guess what I would say is that it always starts from character and working with great writers and collaborators,...

Mahershala Ali, 51, Wants Marvel To Know That He's Ready To Start Filming 'Blade'
Image
It's been several months since the Marvel Studios reboot of Blade was pulled from its release schedule. The project was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, revealing that the Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Aliwould play the human-vampire hybrid Eric Brooks, Aka Blade. But despite the multiple issues this Marvel project has, Ali is still keen to work with Marvel.

During a red carpet interview for the Jurassic World Rebirth premiere with Variety, Ali asked when fans would see this Blade reboot. In response, he said, "Call Marvel," and tell them that "He's ready." The actor didn't give much further information, which makes sense as the project has had many issues behind the scenes. Now, the ball is in Kevin Feige and Marvel Studio's court if they want to make some real progress on this feature.

"Call Marvel. I'm ready. Let them know I'm ready."

In 2022, Kevin Feige announced that Blade...

Blade: Mahershala Ali Is Still Ready And Willing To Play The Daywalker; "Call Marvel"
Image
Hard as it may be to believe, it's been over six years since Marvel Studios announced that Mahershala Ali was set to star as the titular vampire slayer in a new MCU Blade movie.

Numerous delays and setbacks followed, and we got the disappointing news that the project had been removed from Marvel's slate late last year. Though a report that the movie was on indefinite hold followed, we were led to believe that Blade had simply delayed (again) and would eventually move forward.

Ali was asked about the status of the film while being interviewed on the red carpet of last night's Jurassic World Rebirth premiere, and it sounds like he is still more than willing to suit-up as the Daywlker - but the ball is very much in the studio's court.

"Call Marvel," the actor said to Variety. "I’m ready. Let them know I’m ready."

X-men: Ryan Coogler Has Confirmed That Thunderbolts* Director Jake Schreier Will Helm MCU Reboot
Image
Following the recent news that Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier was being eyed to helm Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot, it looks like we have confirmation that the filmmaker has officially signed on to step behind the camera.

Though things do fall through from time to time, or course, when any director or actor is announced as being "in talks" for a particular project, it's usually a pretty good sign that they have already worked out a deal. Variety did mention that Schreier has been "tapped" for the gig in a recent article, but it was generally assumed that the trade was simply noting the previous report and wasn't providing an update.

Now, Black Panther director and Ironheart executive producer Ryan Coogler has left little doubt that Schreier will be the man to assemble Marvel's team of mutant heroes for their first big-screen outing since 20th Century Fox's Dark Phoenix.

In case there was any doubt,...

According to AMC Theatres, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has an official runtime of one hour and 55 minutes (115 mins). This is an updated runtime for the MCU movie, as the theater chain's website had previously listed a runtime of 130 minutes for First Steps. Its runtime vastly exceeds any of the previous four adaptations, which clocked in at 90 mins (Constantin Film's unreleased 1994 movie), 92 mins (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), 100 mins (Josh Trank's 2015 reboot),and 106 mins (2005's Fantastic Four).

It appears ‘The Fantastic Four: First STEPS’ has a new updated runtime of 1 hour and 55 minutes.
