  • Syndication newspaper columnist Dan Thomas reported in February, 1935, that "Peggy Fears, Charles Lemaire and Lili Damita are making up Hollywood's latest threesome. They're practically inseparable. And they've got everyone guessing as to just where the romance lies." [The Palm Beach Post, 9 Feb 1935, p. 10].
  • She was a theatrical star of the 1910's and 20's, performed with the Ziegfeld Follies and was popular in Manhattan café society. Unsuccessfully tried to break into films and later became a Broadway producer.
  • Arranged for Mae Murray to move into a maid's room at Mae's old apartment building, Hotel Des Artistes in New York, when Murray was down on her luck.
