Michele was born in Essex, London in 1947, She started her acting career aged just 12. She had 40 years experience in the acting profession and is best known in Australia for her work on television.

Michelle appeared in television series The Flying Doctors, GP and A Country Practice and more recently in City Homicide and Blue Heelers.

Her current work includes the television series Killing Time, due to be screened in Australia 2011, which also stars David Wenham.

Michele's first Major role in Australia was as Mary Magdalene in the 1972 stage production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Jon English.

The Australian Film Institute has also recognised Michele numerous times, most notably for best actress in a leading role in a telefeature in 1987 for The Fish are Safe and best actress in a lead role for Cathy's Child in 1979.
