Daniel Falcone was born in Syracuse, NY and grew up in Lake Placid, NY where he trained as a figure skater and downhill skier. He went on to study studio art and film at Syracuse University, and graduated magna cum laude with honors. Daniel lived in New York City for 20 years and worked in film/video production and as an editor. He holds an MFA in Film (concentration in screenwriting) from Columbia University and his feature screenplay "Living In Skin" won the Faculty Selects Award. "Skin" was optioned by Here! Network and subsequently Torch Films, but unfortunately never produced. Daniel completed a dark comedy, feature script called "Dear Prudence." Saddled with debt and forced to move back home to Maine, Prudence Grimwood (a.k.a Grim)--a fifty-two-year-old unsuccessful screenwriter--hatches some plots to pay off creditors which could end up ruining her. Daniel hopes to have his screenplays in development soon. Manifest!

Daniel lives with his partner Tim in Bangor, Maine. Tim and Daniel are owned by their two cats, Minerva and Fanny, both SPCA rescues who work as executive management of the household. Also, Daniel is an accomplished painter and ceramist, and enjoys hiking and kayaking adventures.
