Taylor Sheridan’s most underrated drama is coming back, and we finally have an official release date for it!
Taylor Sheridan has swiftly established himself as a powerhouse producer. The big success, of course, is Yellowstone and its various spin-off series. There’s also the recent hit Landman and the crime drama Tulsa King.
Often overlooked is Mayor of Kingstown. The Paramount+ drama has slipped under the radar for both fans and critics despite a major star in Jeremy Renner. It has some good support, but it’s often easy to forget it’s airing, let alone coming back for a fourth season.
Deadline has confirmed that Mayor of Kingstown season 4 will premiere on October 26 with Renner back alongside new cast member, Emmy-winner Edie Falco. They join returning cast members Lennie James, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.

On the heels of the series getting a release date, a Mayor of Kingstownseason 4 image has introduced a major new player. Hugh Dillon and Taylor Sheridan's crime thriller has been a hit across its three released seasons, seeing steadily improving reception from critics and consistently scoring strong viewership for Paramount+.
Mayor of Kingstown season 3 was memorable for being Jeremy Renner's first major production in the wake of his near-fatal snowplow accident. The season explored Renner's Mike working to maintain the peace when a series of explosions rocked the titular city, and he found himself facing his biggest threat yet with the Russian mob's growing influence on the town.
A few months after season 3's release, Paramount+ renewed Mayor of Kingstown for season 4. The cast subsequently saw the addition of multiple key figures, including The Sopranos vet Edie Falco and Fear the Walking Dead's Lennie James, while...

Mayor of Kingstown's Mike McLusky isn’t about to lose his crown without a fight, and we have your first look at Season 4 as part of Collider's Exclusive Preview for the Fall TV season. We've teamed up with Paramount+ to bring you the first image of Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco together on screen — a tense face-off that sets the tone for the show’s return on October 26.
The photo captures McLusky in mid-motion, buttoning his jacket as if bracing for a verdict. Across the desk, Falco’s as-yet-unnamed character leans forward in an office stacked with overflowing files, a single desk lamp cutting through the shadows, and barred windows serving as a constant reminder of Kingstown’s grim reality. It’s a room where alliances are made and broken — and neither party looks ready to blink first. It's a dark, grimy atmosphere, and you can tell some serious sh...

You come at the King of Paramount+, you best not miss. If you haven’t been keeping up with the news, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 is in the works. Unlike the first season, which somewhat romanticized the life of Edgerunners, the upcoming season will be raw and give us the brutal reality of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. It’s not really shocking that Edgerunners is getting a second season, as it basically revived the interest in Cyberpunk 2077.
There’s something genuinely special about how Edgerunners connected to the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Every episode made us all feel like we were right in the middle of Night City. Whether it’s the familiar locations or faces, everything is connected. If you’re someone who keeps pausing every episode to find all those, we have something for you. Here’s a complete list of every Edgerunners reference you can find in Cyberpunk 2077.

If baseball is America's pastime, then football is America's game, offering a harder hitting sport that pushes its players to their absolute limits. Ever since Hollywood started making sports movies, it's produced films revolving around football as a testament to the enduring popularity and cultural relevance of the game. And like the medium itself, football movies range across multiple dramas, whether it be searing dramas or screwball comedies. The narratives in the movies themselves can be based directly on true stories or just use the sport as a cinematic springboard for something wholly original.
Even if viewers aren't necessarily fans of football itself, there is still plenty to enjoy from movies surrounding the sport. With football always bringing such high intensity, movies about it can rival action flicks or character-driven dramas as a show of its versatility. Here are the 15 best football movies of all time ranked and ready to check out.

Following a heart-breaking send-off to actor Josh Stewart’s character, Will Lamontagne Jr., things are slowly going back to normal in the eighteenth season of Criminal Minds. And by normal I mean the Bau getting busy nabbing vicious serial killers who prey on easy targets. Previously, Voit was able to remember his family ties after Rossi and Dr. Lewis decided to make him interact with Ramona Havener, the only victim of the psychopath the Bau was able to rescue in the past. While Voit’s amnesiac afflictions might be genuine, he surely has a secret ploy to get back in the game, as the fourth episode strongly hints at.
Spoilers Ahead
Why Did Dr. Ramsey Begin His Killing Spree?
The episode opens with a night scene in Tucson, near a not-so-busy freeway. An ambulance stops by, and a paramedic, Brad Falco, attends to a homeless woman lying on the pavement.

In its eight decades of existence as a medium, scripted television has been mediated by certain bedrock genres. There's the family-centric soap opera, the crime drama, the workplace sitcom ... and there is, of course, the medical show, which has proven in those decades to have virtually inexhaustible appeal for both comedy and drama.
With a good team of storytellers and a strong cast of actors in tow, the sky's the limit to what depths of feeling and engagement can be drawn from the experiences of medical professionals and their daily efforts to care and do no harm — and TV, with its structural affinity for individual "cases," may just be the ideal medium to mine those depths.
To prove it, we've compiled a ranking of the 15 greatest medical shows of all time. Because this is a universal genre pretty much wherever there are TV studios and networks, the list's only rule...

Attack on Titan fans are usually busy mulling over the ending, unresolved mysteries, or defending the series. As a result, the fandom is mostly unproblematic, except for the times when the discussion turns to Gabi Braun. In such cases, Attack on Titan fans are no better than Star Wars fans. Okay, that might be a stretch, but the hate for Gabi is intense.
It’s not very difficult to make out the reasons that make her such a hated character, but her character arc is strangely similar to Eren’s. Their similarities make the immense love and the extreme hate a bit confusing, as they’re essentially tweaked versions of the same character.
Why do fans hate Gabi so much?
Gabi Braun was introduced during the final arc of Attack on Titan. She was a young Eldian from Marley who aspired to inherit the Armored Titan. Her main goal was to become an honored warrior,...

In recent years, many popular anime series have disappointed their audience because of their poor endings. Attack on Titan has garnered mixed feelings for how unsatisfying it was, with fans accusing Hajime Isayama of rushing the storyline, but a good portion of them also found it appropriate.
The controversial ending, combined with how dragged out the anime adaptation was, ruined the reputation of Attack on Titan. It’s still considered one of the complex and brilliant series in the anime community, a masterpiece that could potentially ruin other anime for fans, but flawed nonetheless.
Many fans blame Hajime Isayama for it, but the mangaka was only following what he planned for the storyline. Most masterpieces will not be perfect. You might not agree with some choices, and the same applies to Attack on Titan. Isayama had already decided how it ended since its inception.

Why Was Edie Falco’s Carmela Soprano Missing From The Many Saints Of Newark? (Photo Credit – Prime Video/Wikipedia)
The Many Saints of Newark had a surprise waiting in its cutting room: Carmela Soprano from The Sopranos. Edie Falco suited up as Tony Soprano’s sharp-tongued wife for the film’s original opening scene. But just before the final cut, her entire moment got shelved. Director Alan Taylor spilled the behind-the-scenes tea that Carmela was in the picture until she wasn’t.
The throwback bombshell dropped during Taylor’s chat with NME, where he admitted that The Sopranos legend made it all the way back to set. “We had Edie come in and she dressed up as Carmela and we shot something with her and it wound up not being in the final movie but it was a great excuse to see her again,” he said (via Cheat Sheet). Video game-to-anime adaptations have become the new trend, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was at the forefront of it. The first season was the perfect adaptation of the video game, Cyberpunk 2077. It also ended in a manner that did not suggest a second season was coming to Netflix.
However, recent news would suggest that a new anime for Cyberpunk is in the works, hinting at a second season or a spin-off. While the latter makes more sense in the universe, is it necessary to create a new story when the ending is perfectly tragic?

It’s hard to imagine anyone else in the role of Dr. Jennifer Melfi other than the brilliant Lorraine Bracco. Creator David Chase initially sought Bracco for the lead role, something she easily fit into with her Italian-American descent and her accent. Interestingly, she had played the wife of a mob boss in Goodfellas and didn’t want to play the same role again in The Sopranos.

The female lead, Carmela Soprano, went to Edie Falco who was phenomenal in the role. However, she later admitted that if it were up to her she would’ve cast herself in the role of Dr. Melfi. While it is easy to see Falco’s reasoning for such a casting decision, the switched roles wouldn’t have worked for me.

The world of Attack on Titan is not kind to anyone, be it for its own characters or its audience. Even the protagonist of this anime got the shorter end of the stick and died a harrowing death for the liberation of his people.
Levi from Attack on Titan [Credits: Mappa]
But at least, we got to know him properly and heard his story before he perished, never to return. The same kind of fate did not come for Levi Ackerman, the man with a cursed life.
Levi is deemed as humanity’s strongest soldier, but this strength has carved situations where everyone else dies while he alone stays to witness that. He hardly ever had a fulfilling personal life, and the only time we got to know him in detail was through a prequel instead of a proper sequel.

With the exception of one solitary journalist, pretty much everyone in the world seems to like Martin Short. In addition to the fact that he’s made us laugh in classic shows like Sctv, and iconic movies such as Three Amigos, he also seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Jiminy Glick, on the other hand, is a giant asshole.
Short recently guested on Amy Poehler’s new podcast Good Hang and attempted to explain his rotund alter-ego’s casual meanness, which surprises even him sometimes. After all, not every interviewer would be so cruel as to introduce Ice Cube as “Vanilla Ice.”

Nestled in the Massachusetts countryside, a cozy house that’s equal parts gorgeous and spooky was invaded by some of the entertainment industry’s most seasoned pros, including Edie Falco and Brian Cox — both playing just about as far from their usual casting as they can get — to film the horror comedy “The Parenting,” now on Max. The duo plays a married couple invited by their gay son to a weekend away in a rented house to meet his boyfriend’s parents. They soon find out that the house isn’t vacant after all, but rather haunted by an ancient demon looking for an earthbound host to occupy… and it finds an unsuspecting one in Cox.
This is quite a leap from Logan Roy, the role the classically trained Cox so brilliantly played on HBO’s “Succession.” In “The Parenting,” he gets to be downright silly — in a foul-mouthed, mischievous way.

The entertainment industry was rocked by the death of Gene Hackman. The veteran actor, his wife, Betsy Arakawa, and one of their dogs were found dead in their New Mexico home. Since then, fans have been looking back at his storied career. Tributes have come in, honoring the actor's diverse filmography.
While Hackman may be best remembered as Lex Luthor, there is another underrated movie the actor starred in the year 2000 that he doesn't get enough praise for: The Replacements, starring Keanu Reeves. What truly stands out about the film is that Hackman, as Coach Jimmy McGinty, subverted a tiresome Hollywood trope when it came to the depiction of coaches.

Review: Horror/comedies can have a difficult time in balancing between their two targeted genres. Do too much of one, and you lose the identity of the other, so it’s always been a delicate balance that needs to be struck. I’m not sure it’s appreciated just how much skill it takes to pull it off and pull it off well. Because in order to accomplish that, you have to know both genres intimately and understand the common tropes and pitfalls. The Parenting seems to understand the comedy due to its hilarious cast, but when it comes to the horror, this may as well be a Disney movie.

What about a weekend getaway to set up a neutral ground of sorts? There's your answer. Let's hope the location of choice doesn't turn out to be a haunted house or something... Hey, there's a movie idea for ya. Enter The Parenting, heading straight to Max on Thursday with a talented cast that efforts to save an ultimately underwhelming end result from the great director Craig Johnson (The Skeleton Twins) and the funny writer Kent Sublette (Saturday Night Live).
Some of your favorite small-screen stars, including Lisa Kudrow (Friends), Brian Cox (Succession), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), and Edie Falco (The Sopranos), tackle the parental roles, which ultimately fall victim to thinned-out character development since the folks behind the lens try again and again to freak you out.

Not being particularly familiar with director Craig Johnson’s (The Skeleton Twins) work or screenwriter Kent Sublette’s (Saturday Night Live) writing, expectations for The Parenting were mostly based on its promising premise and impressive cast. The concept fits perfectly within the ever-entertaining fusion of horror and comedy – a genre mix that’s notoriously difficult to balance, but when executed well, can deliver a truly memorable experience.
The Parenting follows young couple Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn), who plan a weekend getaway in the countryside to introduce their parents. However, as tensions begin to rise between the more traditional Sharon (Edie Falco) and Frank (Brian Cox) and the laid-back Liddy (Lisa Kudrow) and Cliff (Dean Norris), the family quickly realizes that their rented house – managed by the eccentric Brenda (Parker Posey) – hides a dark secret: the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist.

A couple’s weekend getaway with their parents takes a supernatural turn in The Parenting, an amusing horror adventure directed by Craig Johnson (Wilson, Alex Strangelove) from a screenplay by Kent Sublette (Saturday Night Live). The film, which bows on Max on March 13, is low on genuine scares, but it does boast an appealing cast, whose comic chops elevate the flick slightly above the standard streamer slush.
Rohan (Nik Dodani, Atypical and Twisters) and Josh (Brandon Flynn, 13 Reasons Why and Manhunt), a sweet couple, are nervous to meet each other’s families. On the drive up to a beautiful countryside mansion, which they have rented for the low cost of $350 a night, the two trade tips and secrets on making the best impression. It’s mostly Rohan trying to prepare his boyfriend for his uptight and judgmental parents. But Josh, a former employee at Rei and aspiring musician, is unfazed.

James Gandolfini’s portrayal of Tony Soprano revolutionized television, but behind the scenes, the actor waged a battle against HBO that nearly derailed The Sopranos. His stand against the network not only secured a better deal for himself but also ensured his co-stars received fair compensation.

How well a movie performs at the box office is just as often a function of how well it's marketed as how well it's made. The current number 1 movie on Netflix in the U.S. is a perfect example of this. The marketing of any movie begins with the title. And, wow, did they ever miss on this one.
The movie in question is To Catch a Killer, a solid suspense film released in 2023. It came out on April 21st and almost immediately disappeared from movie screens everywhere. In case you forgot, this was the year of BarbenHeimer. Barbie grossed $1.45 billion, while Oppenheimer took in $976 million. Oh, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie wedged between them with the tidy sum of $1.36 billion.
To Catch a Killer wasn't quite as popular. It brought in the grand sum of $3,138,750. That's three million, not three billion. I mean, you and I would be...

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall in November of 1989, James Bond has struggled with his own relevance. "Licence to Kill" was released that same year, but it proved to be the last James Bond movie for six years. Eon Productions scrambled to came out with "GoldenEye" in 1995, starring Pierce Brosnan, the best James Bond. "GoldenEye" featured a scene wherein M (Judi Dench) told 007 right to his face that he was a remnant of an earlier time, and the bad guys were merely ex-Soviets who tried to keep the Cold War going as best they could. Energy for the war, "GoldenEye" pointed out, had waned.
Brosnan starred in four films as James Bond, but he ran into another relevancy problem after the events of September 11, 2001. During the George W. The late James Gandolfini is often looked as the single biggest reason why The Sopranos is considered one of the most iconic shows of all time. As the mob boss Tony Soprano, Gandolfini brought to life one of the most favored anti-heroes of all time, on the HBO series.

The Sopranos may be one of the greatest television shows of all time but David Chase never had plans to make six seasons of a network TV show. The show, starring James Gandolfini, was initially planned as a movie. It was supposed to be a mob comedy centered around a mob boss and his problematic mother, much similar to Tony and Livia Soprano.

However, Chase was told that a mob comedy wasn’t exactly the crowd-puller in the theaters. But he was then approached for creating a TV series based on Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, which became a classic hit as a movie. Chase wasn’t ready to rehash the story for television, but he had another storyline in his mind.
