Bernard Evein was born on 5 January 1929 in Saint-Nazaire, Loire-Atlantique, France. He was a production designer and art director, known for L'année dernière à Marienbad (1961), Les parapluies de Cherbourg (1964) and Les Quatre Cents Coups (1959). He was married to Jacqueline Moreau. He died on 8 August 2006 in Barbâtre, Vendée, France.
