- Ruth Eweler was born on March 19, 1916 in Plettenberg-Eiringhausen, Altena, Westphalia, Prussia [now Northrhine-Westphalia], Germany. She was an actress, known for Zwischen Hamburg und Haiti (1940), La fille du samurai (1937) and Einmal der liebe Herrgott sein (1942). She died on October 1, 1947 in Steglitz, Berlin, Germany.
- Blonde leading lady of German films during the NS period. Eweler won her first movie contract courtesy of winning a beauty contest conducted by a shampoo manufacturer. She was later politically connected to the regime through her brother Heinrich, who held the rank of Sturmbannführer in the SS.
