    • Friedrich Ettel was born on June 8, 1890 in Zurich, Switzerland. He was an actor, known for Ein gewisser Herr Gran (1933), Nordlicht (1938) and Husarenliebe (1932). He died on March 12, 1941 in Berlin, Germany.

Trivia

  • Swiss-born character actor, on stage from 1908. Noted in diverse character roles at the Deutsche Theater in Berlin (1930-32) under the auspices of Max Reinhardt and Gustaf Gründgens. Regularly seen in German films of the 1930's, usually as physicians, innkeepers, chemists or military men.
  • Friedrich Ettel died at the age of 50 in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
  • With the end of the silent movie era he began his film career and entertained the audience with his roles in movies like "Ludwig der Zweite, König von Bayern" (1929).
