Pulitzer-finalist podcast network Radiotopia from Prx today announced three new podcasts joining the network, including Never Post hosted by Mike Rugnetta, the emotional investigative show, Proxy with Yowei Shaw, and an ongoing compendium of audio masterworks, Selects, created by Room Tone and hosted by Mitra Kaboli.

Also this spring, Hrishikesh Hirway of Song Exploder releases a new conversational series, Key Change, and Normal Gossip from Defector Media will be hosted by Rachelle Hampton. Blue Harbor Acquires U.S. Distribution Rights to Historical Biopic ‘Audrey’s Children’ (Exclusive)

Blue Harbor Entertainment has acquired the Stateside distribution rights to Ami Canaan Mann’s “Audrey’s Children,” which will be released nationwide March 28. Based on a true story, the historical drama stars Natalie Dormer as British physician Dr. Audrey Evans, who “burst onto the scene in 1969 as the first female Chief of Oncology at the world-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.”

According to the film’s synopsis, “Audrey’s Children” follows Evans as she “battles sexism, medical conventions, and the subterfuge of her peers,” eventually developing the first Neuroblastoma Staging System, co-founding the first Ronald McDonald House for families of patients, and impacting the lives of millions of children around the world. After years of collaborating and supporting the film, Evans died two weeks into the start of physical production.

Philadelphia Film Festival 2024 to Honor Sean Baker with Retrospective and ‘Anora’ 35mm Screening

The Philadelphia Film Festival is honoring Sean Baker’s film career.

The “Anora” director will be at the center of a retrospective with the Philadelphia Film Society, which will take place over the course of the three weeks prior to the festival’s kick-off. The 33rd annual festival will then screen Baker’s Palme d’Or winner “Anora” on 35mm.

The festival will take place from October 17 through 27, and feature buzzy hits like “A Real Pain,” “Conclave,” and Venice Golden Lion winner “The Room Next Door.” Additional early festival titles include “Bird,” “Blitz,” “The Girl with the Needle,” “I’m Still Here,” “The Seed of the Sacred Fig,” and “The End.”

Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer are teaming up to star in “The Wasp,” a psychological thriller based on Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s play of the same name.

“Moonlight” Oscar nominee Harris and “Game of Thrones” actor Dormer will play Heather and Carla, who meet up for tea after not having spoken in several years. Heather presents a shocking proposition that will change their lives forever.

Guillem Morales (“Inside No. 9”) will direct, with Malcolm writing the screenplay for producer XYZ Films.

Exclusive: Naomie Harris (Moonlight) and Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) have been tapped to lead the psychological thriller The Wasp, which BAFTA winner and two-time nominee Guillem Morales (Inside No. 9) is directing for XYZ Films.

The film based on Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s play of the same name, which ran in 2015 at London’s Hampstead Theatre, follows Heather (Harris) and Carla (Dormer), who agree to meet after having not spoken in years. Over tea, Heather presents a very unexpected proposition that will change their lives forever.

Malcolm adapted the screenplay for the film, slated to enter production in Bath, UK in November. Nate Bolotin and Maxime Cottray will produce for XYZ Films, along with James Harris and Leonora Darby of Tea Shop Productions, Sean Sorensen of Royal Viking Entertainment, and Matthew B. Meredith Baxter to Star in Dystopian Dramedy 'Genesis'
The future is indeed female in Genesis, a new sci-fi dramedy from Audrey Evans.

“Imagine an individual cloning herself — it’s sort of an immaculate conception, if you will,” explains Meredith Baxter in a clip of the dramedy, which explores the extinction of the male species and the promise of an all-female society.
