Was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood in 2005 and serves as the pastor of Holy Dormition of the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church in Richmond, B.C. (May 2008)

Evanko trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and sang with the English Opera Group and with the Welsh National Opera Company in the 1970s.
