Kelly Clarkson is making career moves once again. Questions lie with the future of her eponymous daytime talk show. In the meantime, Clarkson is joining fellow singer Amy Grant on a new project that has nothing to do with music.

Does Sarah Cameron Die In Outer Banks?
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Netflix has amassed a truly massive library of hit TV shows at this point. While that list includes oft-cited favorites such as "Stranger Things" and "Squid Game," there is nothing in the streamer's library quite like the teen-focused series "Outer Banks." Part mystery, part drama, part adventure, it's captivated viewers somewhat quietly for four seasons now, with a fifth and final season on the way. Though not usually thought of amongst Netflix's most successful shows, it has proved to be quite popular.

"Outer Banks" centers on a group of realistic, sometimes foolish teens known as the Pogues in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There exists a divide between the Pogues and the Kooks, the name given to wealthy seasonal residents. A hurricane kills the power for the summer season and it sets off a chain of events that sets the show in motion.

It is no secret that the drama surrounding the hit Netflix series took on a new dimension, leaving avid fans questioning the showrunners and writers of Outer Banks. Outer Banks Season 4s Mid-Season Twist, Explained
Image
This is a pinch-me-moment because one of the best shows on Netflix has finally returned. Season 4 of the hit Netflix series Outer Banks is here, and it is needless to say each episode is its very own rollercoaster of emotions, inside jokes, and lots of bad ideas. But hey, Pogues roll with whichever cards they are given, right? This time around, though, the stakes are much higher, and the Pogues are starting to push the limits of what is possible.

In some ways, Season 4 is a reminder that danger is a foreign word to the Pogues, which allows Outer Banks to fully capture the spirit of their insane adventures and reckless decision-making. John B, Sarah, Pope, Cleo, JJ, and Kiara cant sit still for too long, and going full Kook didnt change that. As if JJ causing them to lose all of their money isn't enough chaos, this season has a lot more in store,...

‘Outer Banks’ Stars Tease What’s Ahead in Season 4: “Explosions, Craziness, Pogue Activity”
Image
[This story includes major spoilers from Outer Banks season four, part one.]

The first half of Outer Banks season four ended with several cliffhangers for the Pogues, many of which should be resolved, to some degree, in the second half of the season.

Over on Kildare Island, Rudy Pankow’s JJ probably gets the biggest bomb dropped on him when he learns that he’s not the son of his alcoholic and abusive father, Luke (Gary Weeks). His birth parents are actually the late Larissa Genrette and Chandler Groff (J. Anthony Crane) — making him the kind of person he hates, a Kook, and the grandson of Wes Genrette (David Jansen).

“It plays out in a series of outbursts,” Pankow tells The Hollywood Reporter of how this news will land with perhaps the Pogue-iest of the Pogues when the show returns Nov. 7 with the final episodes. “I think it’s an identity crisis in Part Two.”

He continued,...

Outer Banks season 4 premiere recap: ‘The Enduro’
Image
Bring it on home, Pogues! Outer Banks season 4 is finally here with the release of the first five episodes on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024.

“The Enduro,” the Outer Banks season 4 premiere, picks up in between the events of the season 3 finale. Remember, there was a time jump at the end of season 3. Well, the beginning of Outer Banks season 4 fills in the gaps.

The Pogues catch a ride back from South America and make peace with family after finding the gold at El Dorado and losing Big John (Charles Halford) and Ward Cameron (Charles Esten). Things aren’t totally smooth sailing with everyone, but the gold that Sarah (Madelyn Cline) and John B (Chase Stokes) were able to take from the lost city in their backpack was worth $1.1 million.

The Pogues build Poguelandia 2.0 Outer Banks. (L to R) Chase Stokes as John B, Rudy Pankow as JJ in episode 401 of Outer Banks.

How Did Outer Banks Season 3 End? Let's Recap
Image
When it comes to Outer Banks, there are some things you can always count on: high-speed chases, swoon-worthy romance, and epic action.

Thanks to some truly jaw-dropping surprises and the team’s biggest treasure hunt yet, Season 3 takes all of that to the next level. And by next level, we’re talking Barbados, South America, and even (gasp) a party full of Kooks.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. If you need a quick reminder on where things left off at the end of Season 2, our perpetual treasure-hunting friends the Pogues, led by John B (Chase Stokes), were set adrift in the ocean on a small boat after failing to steal the Cross of Santo Domingo back from evil Rafe (Drew Starkey) and Ward (Charles Esten). Meanwhile, in Barbados, Carla Limbrey (Elizabeth Mitchell) met with John B’s not-actually-dead dad, Big John (Charles Halford), and promised to help...

Outer Banks Cast: Meet the Residents of Obx
Image
Each season, the teens of Outer Banks find themselves getting into serious trouble while uncovering crazy secrets linked to their small North Carolina barrier island town. Season 4 will be no exception. When the series returns this fall, with Part 1 out on Oct. 10, and Part 2 on Nov. 7, look for the mysteries to run even deeper as the stakes get truly out of control.

Season 3 was a mixed bag of treasure. The Pogues — John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and new friend Cleo (Carlacia Grant) — effectively won the G game. They actually found El Dorado. Woogity woogity, right?!

But at the same time, both Sarah and John B lost their fathers, Ward (Charles Esten) and Big John (Charles Halford) — and for good this time. “We knew we needed to give them a win,...

Image
New York-based indie sales outfit Visit Films has secured worldwide sales rights to “The Easy Kind,” starring country singer Elizabeth Cook, following the film’s well-received premiere at the Telluride Film Festival.

The film represents the narrative feature debut of award-winning documentary filmmaker Katy Chevigny whose previous credits include directing two Emmy-winning episodes of “Home” for A24 and AppleTV+, and co-directing the Emmy-nominated documentary “E-Team.”

Hayden Panettiere Sparks Sobriety Concerns With Latest Interview
Image
Hayden Panettiere’s latest interview has prompted fears that the actress may have suffered a relapse.

As you may be aware, Hayden has battled alcoholism throughout her adult life.

But she checked into rehab and got sober in 2020. Shortly thereafter, the Scream VI star kicked off a major career comeback.

In 2022, however, tragedy struck as Hayden’s brother, Jansen Panettiere, passed away at the age of 28.

Fans feared that the loss would trigger a relapse. And new footage posted by People has prompted further concerns that Hayden has fallen back into her old habits.

The video in question was posted earlier this week on People‘s Instagram page.

In ‘The Easy Kind,’ Country Music Favorite Elizabeth Cook Plays Herself — or Does She? — in a Docudrama That Splits the Difference
Image
“The Easy Kind” isn’t the easiest kind of film to describe for someone who is getting a first look, as audiences did in its premiere screenings at the Telluride Film Festival this past weekend. On first blush, it might appear to be a documentary of the esteemed country singer Elizabeth Cook, who enjoys a sizable following for an independent artist, between her nearly 25-year discography and her SiriusXM radio show. But soon enough, for anyone who didn’t see the “narrative” notation in the program notes, it’s clear enough that much of the movie is scripted. David Letterman, Cook’s biggest booster in real life, plays himself in one scene, but Karen Allen, Charles Esten and Susie Essum are doing character roles, and Cook herself is “EC,” who shares the singer’s exact career history but has some fictional romantic interests.

But for an artist who might be characterized as country-rock,...
