Pat Finn-Lee Autobiography:

Pat Finn-Lee was born in Clovis, New Mexico on the Air Force Base in county Curry. Her father was a Flight Officer, Bombardier on a B-24, killed in action in WWII, making her part of a Gold Star Family. Pat Finn-Lee's mother started singing on the radio at the age of three and helped her Bowie, Wichita Falls, Texas family through the Great Depression by performing, singing, and teaching piano. Her father, Tom W. Nichols, was the Poet Laureate of Bowie, Texas. Her mother, Daisy Creamer, was a nurse and muleteer in the oil fields. Pat Finn-Lee's Great Grand Uncle was General Fighting Joe Wheeler of the Confederacy and a member of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders.
Pat Finn-Lee was raised on the North side of Atlanta, Georgia where she studied ballet at the Atlanta Civic Ballet Company. After moving to Florida, Pat Finn-Lee participated with the Orange Blossom Regional Theater in Orlando garnering rave reviews while still in high school. After high school graduation in 1962, as a student at Rollins College, she participated in multiple roles in the famed Annie Russell Theater. She started doing crew work and internships on movie and television productions in Florida. In 1964 Pat Finn-Lee worked on Johnny Tiger, a Florida feature film. In 1965 Pat Finn-Lee worked on Color Me Blood Red, part of the Blood Feast Trilogy, a Friedman-Lewis Production playing the Beatnik girl Sydney and doing make up and effects. Pat Finn-Lee appeared in the Everglades series starring Cameron Mitchell. In 1966 she worked on the Emperor's New Clothes with Bob Clark starring John Carradine. Pat Finn-Lee worked on many commercials and films also dubbing many foreign films throughout Florida. Pat Finn-Lee danced in many nightclub shows, performing at the Castaways, the Peppermint Lounge, Jillys, and the Newport Hotel on Miami Beach. Pat Finn-lee was one of six dancers, filming for two seasons on the Ray Anthony television show. For a few years Pat Finn-Lee split her time between Miami and New York. Pat Finn-Lee worked for Albert Grossman in New York City. Pat Finn-Lee worked with Stanley Goldstein out of the Maysles Office, being an Assistant Producer for the Our World Broadcast, also known as the World Peace Broadcast, the first global simulcast of its kind. She worked on various feature films and commercials doing make up, effects, and script supervision.
When Woodstock Music and Arts Festival was produced in 1969, Pat Finn-Lee assisted Stanley Goldstien, the Holy Ghost of Woodstock, in arranging for Port-a-potties and shuttle helicopters for the event. In 1970, Pat Finn-Lee was a Production Assistant for Maysles Brothers Film Company filming the Rolling Stones tour of the US which became the film Gimme Shelter. In 1971, Pat Finn-Lee worked on a Florida Cult film Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things. In the early 1970's, Pat Finn-Lee toured all over the World in multiple nightclub acts. She appeared in two Broadway shows in New York City. In 1976 Pat Finn-Lee married Danny Finley, AKA The Legendary Panama Red, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Pat Finn-Lee started Joint Management, assisted by the artist Sebastian Houseman. She booked and managed The Legendary Panama Red with his band Montezuma's Revenge, as they toured the US and Canada in their 1947 Silversides Greyhound bus. In Miami in 1981 Pat Finn-Lee performed in the movie Porky's (both I & II). She did multiple stunts, and her part was expanded by Director Bob Clark. By 1986 Pat Finn-Lee moved to New Mexico where she had parts in Blue DeVille and And God Created Woman. In 1988 she played Janey in the feature film Young Guns. She played Susan in the feature film Late for Dinner. During this time she completed school as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Critical and E.R. After moving to San Francisco, California she continued to work as an R.N. and expanded her friendship with the Hog Farm Commune working as a nurse at Camp Winnarainbow for Wavy Gravy. She also babysat backstage for her friends the Grateful Dead band. After moving to Seattle for the birth of her grandchild, the whole family moved to the Netherlands. Upon returning to the US, continuing Joint Management out of Nashville, Tennessee, she and Panama Red lived the country life. Moving to Albuquerque they acquired another tour bus, Pat Finn-Lee and Panama Red set out for St. Petersburg, Florida where they parked the Bamboo Bus at Jeff Shore's Craftsman House Gallery. Their adventures came full circle where the Legendary Panama Red started out as Danny Finley a folk singer who founded the Jazz Fusion Band Bethlehem Asylum at Tom Reese's Beaux Arts Coffeehouse. Pat Finn-Lee is working to edit the writings of the Legendary Panama Red. She spends time supporting the musical and arts community. Pat Finn-Lee, AKA Peppermint Patty, as of 2024, is broadcasting weekly on the Florida Folk Radio Show with Pete Gallagher on Sunshine Radio 96.7.
