    Louise Emmons was buried in an unmarked grave at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA until her unmarked grave was discovered by animation artist Jenny Lerew in 2013. Lerew and film collector Mike Hawks paid and arranged for a marker to be placed for Mrs. Emmons. It was unveiled in a ceremony attended by fellow film historians nearly 80 years later, on March 23, 2014.
