  • Trivia
Jim Beaver, biographer of George Reeves, star of Superman (1952), which was produced by Ellsworth, was himself an actor on the television series Deadwood (2004). He played a character named Ellsworth, and when it became necessary for that character to have a first name, he received permission from producer David Milch for the character to be named Whitney Ellsworth, in honor of the "Superman" producer.
