    • Lia Eibenschütz was born on March 19, 1899 in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany. She was an actress, known for Nathan le sage (1922), Der Mann ohne Gedächtnis (1915) and Der Puppenmacher von Kiang-Ning (1923). She died on March 3, 1985 in West Berlin, West Germany.

  • Attractive German leading lady of the 1920's, the daughter of a pianist and conductor. She began as a singer and pianist herself, before being discovered for the screen in 1919. She tended to specialise in playing elegant socialites or ladies of noble birth in romantic melodramas and comedies during the silent era. Her career declined in talking pictures and she was banned from performing during the Nazi period because of her half-Jewish ancestry.
  • Lia Eibenschütz was married with the actor Curt Vespermann since 1927.
