- Popular British leading actor of silent films in the 1920's, often co-starring opposite his actress-wife 'Chrissie White'. Edwards also worked as a writer-director from 1916. In the mid-1930s he was praised for his work on Juggernaut (1936) and Scrooge (1935). He subsequently resumed his acting career playing jovial old-timers.
