Harry Edison
Harry Edison was a composer, songwriter ("Free Eats", "Every Tub") and trumpeter in the Count Basie and His Orchestra between 1937 and 1950, then with Buddy Rich. He toured with Josephine Baker, appeared in "Jazz at the Philharmonic", and made many records. He joined ASCAP in 1959, and his other popular instrumental compositions include "Mutton Leg", "Jive at Five", "Beaver Junction", "Center Piece", "Shorty George", "Pound Cake", "Sweets", and "Evil Blues".
