  • A well-respected session guitarist, who played for three of the former Beatles (John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr) on their 1970s solo records.
  • Was a full-blooded Kiowa Indian.
  • Was present for some of John Lennon and Harry Nilsson's infamous drunken outings in Los Angeles, during the mid-Seventies. Davis' girlfriend actually summoned the police one night, after Lennon and Davis got into a fight when they'd both been drinking.
  • At the time of his death, he was the guitarist for John Trudell's groundbreaking and unique Native American poetry rock band.
  • Struggled with alcoholism most of his adult life.
